I dont know if anyone else saw this but there was one play in the game during the second half where Kobe dribbled off a pick set for him and stepped a good two feet in fron the the three point line and hit the shot. At that point we had been up by one and then the next thing I knew it showed the Fakers up by TWO!!! My friends and I were going absolutely ape sh*t. Everyone saw it he wasn't even close, both of his feet were inside the line. Did anyone else see this! If they had marked the right score than the Rox should have won by one!!!
I SAW THAT PLAY!!! Bill was asking Calvin the shot was a 3 or a 2 and they both said 3. But clearly in my eyes it was a 2! The refs surely thought it was a 3 or maybe they are sucking up to his game but his right foot because his back heel was stepping on the line, and for the other leg he stepped it in the middle of his left foot. That play pissed me off! I clearly remembered
I didn't see it, but I wouldn't doubt it. The NBA always seems to turn a blind eye to such bull**** whenever the Fakers are on the court.
Can someone who recorded the game..review the tape and tell us about the shot... I was confused as well.. It definitely looked as if he was nowhere near the three-point line but I thought I was seeing things.. I know exactly what you are talking about..any confirmation from anyone?
I taped the game and am curious...but not curious enough to fast forward the whole game. Was it Q3, Q4, OT?
The Rockets screwed up, sure, but such a thing is inexcusable. There is no way that call should get messed up with 3 officials on the court.
They are not gonna overturn the mistake so why even bother, Hell lakers fouled bibby with a ref 1 foot infront of the call and it was not made. Refs should be punished when they screw up
It was in the 4th quarter...just after the Rockets went up by one point.. check it and see.. I want an answer!
You know, if they're going to rescend the flagrant foul call on Shaq in the first rox-fakers game then they should DEFINATELY review this game and take back 1) madsen's offensive foul oscar winning performance and 2) this 'phantom' 3 pointer
The refs should be punished, that is why stuff like this needs be brought up. It seems like the NBA will do nothing about bad offiticating, maybe if people send comments to major sports outlets like ESPN commenting about the situation it will get some press and the NBA will have to do something. The officials have done a horrible job all season and the NBA chooses to fine anybody that complains instead of making changes. And it's not just when the Lakers are playing, but every game. Some calls will be missed, but sometimes you have to wonder what the hell is going on. Like how a player can bump into a coach, throw a player out of bounds, and flip off the crowd and not be thrown out of the game?
I recorded the game. It looked like his foot was on the line, but i'll play back the tape. Not that it does the Rox any good now.
Gater, I remember the exact play. If I remember correctly it put the Fakers up 77-75, or something close to that. D R
I saw it. It had to be a two. I was shocked when they gave him three. It also looked like kobe double dribbled when he tried to escape mobes from the three point line when the shot clock was down. He missed anyway so who cares. And I could be wrong, but it looked like he dribbled back a step, stopped his dribble, then dribbled back to the 3 point line. It just didn't look right to me. It didn't seem human.
My only question is did the referee raise his hands and give the three point signal because if not then we can blame the scorekeeper.
Ha...that is funny. i do remember seeing one of his shots that was a dagger...though it didnt seem to be a 3 pointer, I had to verify by looking at the score.
I remember thinking..wow..Kobe is so on fire that he is making 3-pointers look like jump shots..that's because it WAS a jump shot!
