This time, I dont have to go digging for info on this........the local Utah media outlets have done it for me.

Jazz will adjust color palette for next season
    By Tim Buckley
    Deseret Morning News

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Wondering why it seems so easy to find Jazz wear on the sale rack lately?
No, the NBA team is not going out of business. There is, however, cause for clearance craziness.
The Jazz will have new uniforms for the 2004-05 NBA season, say sources named neither Ralph Lauren nor P. Diddy.
Fear not, logo lovers, the mountain peaks apparently aren't going anywhere.
But there is a new scheme in the works for a franchise whose players previously have worn everything from the gaudiest of greens to more purple than even Barney keeps in his closet.

In for the fall: navy blue and light blue, with just a pinch of purple.

Out altogether: that drab rusty-copper kind of color that works so well with, well, very little.

But don't scurry to the mall just yet.

Additional details and mock-ups of the new fashion line are not expected to be revealed by the hush-hush Jazz until sometime next week, though industry insiders from Paris to Provo promise it will be worth the wait.

More shades of blue eh? Man that is the rage these days! Personally i like the multi-shades of blue myself...but seeing it on multiple teams makes it kind of stale. Makes me glad the Rockets are Rockets Red!

The only way they're respected is if they're no longer in the NBA.

Why do teams have to change their uniforms every few years? Ridiculous.

    some more details.......

1....That so called hush-hush date as alluded to in the article is really scheduled for Thursday July 24th for a Jazz draft party. Funny How I know this, yet the local media outlets in Utah dont.

2.....Roads will be navy with white numerals and light blue and purple trim. They will say Utah in block form, similar to Orlando.

3..... Homes will be white with Navy numerals and light blue and purple trim. They will say Jazz on the front in block form.

4..... Think of this more as a Nugs type of situation. Its not a total overhaul, just more of a changing of the color palette.

I've heard a few people say this and it doesn't make sense. You don't think the Nugs did a complete overhaul? The only thing they kept was the logo. The jerseys look NOTHING like the old ones IMO. Maybe I'm just missing something.

No, a complete overhaul would include a change of color(s) and the logo such as going from this: [IMG] to this: [IMG]

No, that would be known as a "bad idea" in that case. :p Seriously though, the Nugs don't use the main logo as much (I see the DN logo as often, if not more often), and the jerseys are completely different styles. Oh well, different strokes.....

Nope....but if they are, there doing a damn good job of keeping a secret.

BTW.......Not only doesnt Utah's new uniforms and logo drop on this Thursday 6/24, the Charlotte Bobcats will be droppin there new uniforms on that day too.

So come 6/24 be on the look out.........

    Nugs4.....

I shoulda been more clear on the "not a total overhaul" thing. The Jazz are not going to use there current logo for the new logo. That's not what I meant by "not a total overhaul."

What I meant was simply that the Jazz will keep some fimilar elements from the past in play....i.e. the past will form the future....well sort of.

Their team will be very well camouflaged with those home jerseys. white fabric on pasty skin against a sea of pasty fans. It's almost unfair.

Raise your hands if you can tell apart the road teams of Utah, Memphis and Dallas! It is Mega Blue city! Even the home Utah jersey reminds me of Dallas!

Other than that....I actually like the uniforms. Not really original by ANY stretch but being a fan of the multiple blue color schemes I like it.
