After thinking about it, I wondered is Ming really worth all this trouble that we are going through? What if after going through all this trouble to take him from China, another guy would be a lot easier pick and may be better. I mean we could trade down, get a decent starting center and pick up a stud like Caron Butler. I mean, there is only one chance for us to make the right decision in the draft. We dont want to blow it. We want to get the best player possible, other wise we blew our chance. We have to ask ourselves is Yao really the superstar that we may all think he is? Or is he the next Sam Bowie? Man, if we could just work him out, we could just tell. I mean, when he played against Cristofferson, that really wasnt much of a challenge. Chris is really not that good, I like him a lot and all (Im a Duck), but I dont even think that he will be taken in the draft. Man, I really hope the Rockets can make the right decision. Any other takes on this issue?

It's a brave new world the Rockets are in! A new arena, new uniforms, new players, the #1 overall pick! We can't be afraid to go for broke, shoot for the stars, etc., etc., yada, yada! NOW is the time to go for greatness, come hell or high-water!

He is 7' 5" if he does nothing more then stand in the lane, block shots, rebound and outlet the ball to our guards then he will be 200 times better then Cato.

    For all my cliche brethren.

You have got to reach for that brass ring !

I picked the Rik Smits option. With all of the grumbling I've read around here, I'm surprised there is only 1 monumental bust vote of 36 votes.
