Here are some reasons why. Feel free to add to the list:

Rockets are at home, Phoenix is on the road. It will be the 2nd game in 2 nights for Phoenix, while Houston is at home and rested. The Rockets only lost by 5 in Phoenix earlier in the season. The Suns are without Penny and Googs, so their good players will have to play the minutes against NY, and then fly to Houston after their game.

At center, Dudley is out with a sprained ankle. The last time they played Hakeem wasn't in game shape and struggled against Dudley, playing only 14 minutes. This time, Dream will be matched up against Santiago, a rookie center averages 5 and 2. Robinson might spend some time at the 5, but then you have players playing out of position for Phoenix.

Mo Taylor spent the last game against Phoenix in foul trouble, getting only 24 minutes. This game will be at home, so we'll see more offensive production out of him.

The Suns shot 47.4% against Houston in Phoenix. The Rockets have limited opponent's FG% in the last 3 games to the low 40's.

The Suns (18.2) actually turn the ball over more than the Rockets (16.1). The Suns (25.2) are also more foul prone than the Rockets (20.4), which is good, because the Rockets get to the line (27.2 FTA/G) and shoot 78.7%. That compares to the Suns getting to the line 22.5 times a game and hitting only 73.9%.

The Suns also only hit 26.4% of their 3-pt attempts.

Lets not forget the stripes...Pheonix has horizontal stripes that make them look wide; we have vertical stripes that make us look tall. As long as we can get aound them, we can dunk on them....

I hope Walt doesn't play, cause we need shandon to guard the three (Marion)... Oh, and Googs will get playing time....At Center, we seem to have it won.....PF, close to won...SF, hopeless....PG, francis will do anything kidd does, but faster....SG, we'll see....

Looking at the stats, our three opint percentage is worse...it's awful actually...I don't know exactly how much, it's just really bad.....I think Hakeem will have an average night, and Collier will have an average night...out of Hakkem/Collier, we'll get a total of 22 points and 12 rebounds....Steve will get 20....Cat 21....Mo 18points....SHandon will get 5 points.....Moochie will get 7 and 2....Francis will get 7 assists....MO will grab 6 rebuonds....Walt will have 12 pts....

Watch as I make beleivers out of you....

as for phoenix, googs will be off, kidd will shoot a lousy 39%, but will hand out 10 assists, and grab 9 boards.....Marion will have 15pts, 10rebs,2blk,2stl.....Cliff will have a huge night......Delk will have an OK game.....

Rockets win by 7-12pts or something.....

The truth is out there [IMG]

Our backcourt had alot of success against their's last year. Let's hope that continues.

I think we will win and it will be because Shandon performed very well. I expected 17 from Francis, 19 from Cuttino, 20 from Hakeem, and 11 from Taylor.

I have a feeling that the Rockets will be so hyped up about the prospect of going above 500 that they will fall flat on their faces and lose by 12-15 points. Francis and Mobley will have off nights, and the only good player will be Mo.

Lets hope this reverse psychology works...

I like how you think Tb-Cain! It could well come down to 4th quarter execution and Phoenix may be tired from loosing to NY last night. Good ball movement (leading to easy baskets) seems to have been a common factor in the games we have won. I'd like to see Hakeem and Mo Taylor have a good games inside (especially early on).
