Ok, Jeff said it. I am a woman and my opinion is that the power dancers SUCK. If their pics make it up on this website I might seriously consider not ever coming back. Cmon they are TERRIBLE. All they do is fling their hair around and do the same dances. I think they should be eliminated from the games. ------------------ Poopy!

bravo to you, Ali Cat!!! some of us remember the days, pre- Laker Girls, when the product on the court was all that was needed to sell tickets. I, for one, yearn for those days again, mainly because i have been all but forbidden, under threat of marital turmoil, to watch any televised sports because of the shameless cheesecake and jiggle being foisted upon us as if we're all regulars at The Men's Club or something and expect that to be part of the sports viewing experience. Ask yourselves, guys- is it really necessary, or is the game enough? ------------------ It takes a lot of brains to enjoy satire, humor and wit- but none to be offended by them.
No one goes to the games to see the Power Dancers, but they are welcome entertainment during the time-outs, in between quarters and halftime. It makes the experience of going to games more entertaining, I see no problem with it. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.

I've never had a problem with any dancers or cheerleaders for a sports team. The only problem I have is that they suck. As much as I hate the Dallas Cowboys, I have always been envious of the national attention they claim. I haven't watched a Cowboys games in a long time, but the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders get an awful lot of attention (or they used to, anyway). They are still world-famous and set the standard for what they do. Being in band all through high school and college, I have always appreciated the tradition of things like bands and cheerleaders at sporting events. I would have no problem with the Power Dancers if they were good. Two things you can usually count on are 1) men love sports and 2) men love pretty girls. I think a half-assed effort in the cheerleading department is just stupid. If they're going to do it, go all-out. Spend some money and make the Power Dancers a really awesome group and the Rockets would have one more thing to sell to the media. ------------------ "We got f*cking smashed every day.
