This thread is dedicated to the successes of the past year and the resolutions that should be set come monday.

What do you remember? what are you thankful for?? and what do you wish the Rockets should claim as their new year's resolution??

I am personally thankful for a man named John Patterson. Thank you for giving me a renewed hope for the rocket's season. T-mac is playing with so much confidence right now and he seems to be back. as in the back from 2004-2005, not the one that keeps experiencing spasms. I also want to thank luther head for being such a great shooter, bonzi for apologizing to JVG, battier for being awesome, juho for playing smarter, ... this could go on forever.. but THANKS that Yao will not be out for the remainder of the season (knock on wood).

i truly believe that this team will be an adversary to all in the second half of the season. this team has a "feel good story" kind of plot right now.

i hope for the best and the rocket's new year's resolution should be to stay healthy enough for the playoffs.. this means JVG not overplaying his players. plan for the future (playoffs) and JVG, MAKE SURE WE'RE HEALTHY!!

    CHEERS!

to an optimistic feeling after a not so great year, and to 2007, a year that will hopefully bring the rockets back to the 93-95 glory days!!

I'm thankful the the emergence of Luther Head, and our improved supporting cast (Battier, Wells, Snyder), and the effort that Juwan and Deke has been putting into their game. Heck Juwan's playing like a decent starter these days. All of this has managed to soften the blow of injuries to both our superstars.

Of course I'm also thankful that this year's T-mac injury wasn't that bad - and that the injuries to Yao, Snyder have occurred early in the season so they'll be back when it counts. Compared to some other teams, ie Hornets, Heat, Memphis, our injuries aren't bad.

Thankful for Luther Head's emergance as one of the rockets possible go to guys, and absolutely cold blooded three pointers. Thankful for Hornets giving us Snyder for absolutely nothing. Thankful for T-Mac is back! Thankful for Battier coming in and providing offense when needed and defense 24/7.

Resolution: Keith Jones is not needed for the rest of the season. He deserves a break after last season.

yeah, I'm thankful for Head, too. But I was on Thanksgiving as well. And actually every weekend.

So what was the question...what do I resolve to be more thankful for this year? Head?

    I am thankful for:
    1. T-Mac appearing to be healthy again
    2. Head being a great shooter
    2. Juwon Howard stepping it up and not only scoring but rebounding.
    3. Not having Ryan Bowen running around like a chicken with his head cut off not being able to score if his life depended on it.

    Resolutions are:
    1. Either play Bonzi more or trade him- that back injury has JVG doghouse written all over it (get Andre Miller here somehow!)
    2. Chuck Hayes to get a new pair of hands cause he seems to fumble away 4-5 easy layups a game
    3. Rafer to become more consistent or make a deal for Andre Miller somehow!

    Successes of the Past Year:

    (1) The fleecing of Jerry West in bringing Shane Battier to Houston
    (2) The continued emergence of Yao Ming as a franchise player

Resolutions/Hopes for New Year - there's only one: Recoveries and continued health for Tracy, Yao, Kirk, and Bobby Sura

Thank you BBS Forum for all the fun and entertainment which you have given me over the last year
Thank you members of this forum for being such good sports.
Thank you Rockets for being in Houston and for all the exciting games which you have given us.
Thank you Yao Ming for bringing back 'hope' to the game in Houston.
Thank you Tracy for all the many things which you contribute to our team
especially when you uplift the level of each game.
Thank you Howard for not giving in but instead you have refound your shot.
Thank you Rafer for getting the ball upcourt and hope that you will control your shooting inorder to playmake more.
Thank you Steve Novak for being so brave and for sticking with the team. JVG won't be with us too many more seasons and you will get your chance to show the world that you are the greatest three point shooter.
Thank you Battier, 'Mr. Glue' Thank you for coming out of your tube and recently showing us that you have 'game'.
Thank you V Span. I assure you Greeks are welcome! Possibly in 2007 you will get the chance to show us that you can do more than defeat the USA, Coach permitting!
Thank you John Lucas for being the dynamo, just get the ball to Yao!
Thank you Luther Head may your three pointers score like rain in 2007
Thank you Bonzi- we wait in bated breath for your better self on the court in 2007!
Thank you injured players we wish you a strong return to the game in 2007!
Thank you all the other players not singled out in my list!
Thank you team Coaches, I would recommend a firside chat with JVG inorder that he might be more flexible in 2007 and that he will build for the future and stop the 'Win Now' at all costs senario.
2007 could be a very good year for our darlings of the court especially if they are keen on jewelry. :p
