....this according to 610's Jeremy and some supposedly houston Bball insider( forget his name but insider my ass).

you'd think our local sports talk show hosts would take heed and no way in hell give out there hard earned money to espn insider. But they must do so because these these poor souls think the Rockets will finish somewhere between 9-12 -- a 500 record they say! well slob my freaking nob! I know, i couldn't beleive what i was hearing neither.

This team has improved at every position yet somehow they're going to flounder in mediocrity?

    gimme a break man!

Maybe these kooks think somehow this team is gonna miss Hakeem half ass'n it half the year and miss his b****y airs in the locker room.

Or maybe, just maybe they feel the absence of Bullard and his yearly all interview team award will be sorely miised.

I dunno, maybe they think Lisa Malosky having to go on the IR m idseason due to childbirth will have a real negative effect on the team.

Anyways these these guys do not know basketball talent... if it was up there ass they still wouldn't know it!

All most everyone on 610 knows jack about basketball. All they ever seem to wanna talk about is college football or b**** about the Astros. Especially that smart ass Palilo.

Man...talent is the one thing this team has an almost overabundance of. It is experience that this team is sorely lacking.

610 sports can eat my shorts.
They suck they whine and moan and always put down hometeams but love to talk about crap that does not pertain to sports like Pamela andersons new boyfriend or their homosexual tendencies for each other.

They remind of those two turtles on a beer commercial

ROCKETS ARE GONNA SUPRISE THE HELL OUT OF EVERYONE!

    i hear you fellas!

I know Life is more delicate now and these are confusing times right now and were asking deeper questions and all but dammit basketball is basketball, don't bring this cynical blinburry crap into it, especially when the talent and team Rudy and co. has put before us is the best this city is may ever see -- I really believe this. This could be a top dog team, this year! I don't know about you guys but when watching these preseason games I'm like, whooooaa noooo waaaay, this is season is gonna be kick ass!

Before I got wise, I'd listen to 610 and wonder why all they ever talked about were movies and Baylor football. They rarely mentioned the Rockets, that I ever heard at least. When they did talk about the Rocks, they always left me wishing I was near a phone so I could call and tell them how stupid they all are.

    --- end rant

Wanna know what has me the most excited about the Rockets? 3-5 years from now. Yeah, I love them and I'm excited NOW, but just imagine a few years down the road: Francis and Cuttino will still be awesome and will just be that much better, Mo Taylor will just be that much better, and (hopefully) Griffin and Morris will soon pan out and begin live up to their abilities and by then they'll just be that much better. Not to mention that we've got great backups in Kenny and Mooch who will (say it with me folks) just be that much better.

There might be some flip-flopping between Griffin, Morris, and Mo with the 3 and 4 (maybe even the 5) positions, but really ALL THIS TEAM NEEDS is experience and for Cato to play solid defense. Cato blocking Shaq freaking twice still amazes me.

Confidence from Cato and experience is all that the Rockets are lacking. We could be damn frightening in a very short period of time.

I much rather watch this offense play B Ball then isolating Hakeem or Barkley and have everyone else on the floor stand around until they shoot the ball.

AMEN! It might not always translate into wins, but dammit it ten damn times more exciting to watch than the old Barkley days.

If we can just play defense for 48 minutes, we would win some games.:D

I am like you, I think they will be fun to watch this year and if we can keep the injuries down(which hasn't looked too good in preseason) we do have a good chance to make the playoffs. But, I think it is the future that is exciting because we just need to get some experience for all this young talent. Next year or the year after is when we should start to peak talent wise.

The only thing that worries me is we seem to a constantly changing team the last 5 years. I hope CD and Rudy have decided that they just about have what they need for the future and we can see the same players play together for more than 2 years.

Looking at the contracts, barring trades, these are the guys we are going to have around here for a long time. The coach is basically betting his career on this squad making it to the playoffs and moving up the ladder in the next year or two. Oh well, you know what they say...In Rudy we trust!

What would be hilarious is if our young kids are the ones that knock Utah out of the playoffs this year. God damn, when do they start rebuilding? We will be back in the playoffs before they even begin the long process back.

    OT,

I agree. The rockets have been changing there team alot these days.

Rice is the big change this year, but he will be used a lot like Walt except they may post him up a little.

The rockets have been rebuilding or retooling because they just didn't have enough horses recently. I am now opposed to change at the 1,2,3,4 positions. Cato still needs to prove himself this year, but I think he will.

I don't expect Francis, Moochie, Mobley, Rice, Griffin, Morris, Mo, Cato, KT, Collier to be moved in the next three years.

Rebuilding is over. Time to win.

It all depends on how good Griffen will become. If he is the anything close to the next McGraddy we are set.
