... in worst FTA/FGA ratio (among players playing 20+ minutes/game).

One of the top off-season priorities for these guys has to be playing tougher and actually seeking the contact.
You just can't shy away from it if you want to be an efficient offensive player.

Especially Patterson has to stop playing like a girl and start going up strong.

Now, this is not meant to be a bash thread. I'm just pointing it out. (And I know that I'm not the first one to bring this up regarding Patterson.)
I still believe in Patterson and I think Parsons will get better as well, but it is definitely somewhat of a concern and something they'll have to work on going forward.

Its embarrassing that a "power forward" who isn't a spot-up 3-pointer shooter (like, say, Bonner) would have such a low free throw rate. And its not like Patterson is unathletic or lacks strength. He's at least average in both categories. I guess its just not in him to play against contact.

This is very interesting. I'd expect a lot of jumpshooters to be on this list.

Very interesting that Patterson is the only big man aside from Matt Bonner (who's a 3 point shooter) in the top 10.

Courtney Lee and Budinger are both jump shooters before attackers so I'm not too suprised.

A little suprised that Parsons is on here, I thought he got to the FT line more, but I think he knows hes a bad FT shooter so maybe he tries to avoid being fouled.

I have to agree with you. Patterson's been working on some post moves but they are finesse post moves akin to Luis Scola. He'd rather take a hook shot than take a strong drop step and power to the rim. It's funny because I thought it would be the other way around when we drafted him.

Landry is #10, if you set the parameter as 30+ games, instead of 40+.

Not crazy about Hansbrough personally. His FTA/FGA ratio may be high, but he's a black hole on offense and doesn't do much defensively.

Again, I still like Patterson quite a bit. He just needs to start playing like the big man that he is.

Yeah, he has all the tools to be our next Carl Landry. He just needs to be more aggressive and beat people off-dribble instead of that hook shot. That way he can draw way more fouls and dunk the ball more like Landry did. Hope he will be fully recovered and pan out in his 3rd season.

i wouldnt worry about parsons...i think he gets it, but was not trying to go to the line earlier when his FT% was incredibly low. He's shooting an extra FT or two, since his % improved.

Patterson has pissed me off all year. He just has looked so.....weak. In every facet.
