why in the hell are the player's always always complaining about shot distribution? why? why? why? why? why? ARRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! i'm sick of it.

: : calm down, omega supreme. there's always next year. we're still a "young, and exciting team". also, the astros season is underway. 2 and 0 baby... yeah! : :

ok... back to the rockets attitude problem.

shot distribution... there should be no reason why any player other than francis and yao should complain about not getting enough shots. as the rock would say, "know your role and shut your mouth". why can't the rockets to that? mobley is a role player, rice is a role player, posey is a role player, maurice is a role player, and griffin is a role player... if he even qualifies as a player.... nope, i don't think he does.

it seems that everybody... other coaches and sports analysts can see what's wrong with the rockets except for the rockets own coaches and players. regardless of the rockets making the playoffs or not... one of two things needs to happen:

    1. bring in a coaching staff that's not blind to what the problem is and has the balls to deal with the attitude of the players that we have. or...

    2. bring in different players who know there ROLE and know how to shut their mouth.

it starts with francis and yao. not mobley, rice, taylor, and definitely not griffin. chemistry is all about knowing your role. ex: see the two championship seasons.... thorpe, herrera, smith, cassell, horry, chilcutt, maloney... by the way... you never saw scottie brooks complaining about not getting shots... did you?

"If they playing at home every game, they can win. They're really good at home. They got open court players, and they like to get open, and if they get open, open court, it's going to be tough for teams to stick with them. But they're a pretty decent team... but all that little stupid sh** they did at the end of the game, I'll remember that. So, next time we play them, I'm going to make sure we run the score up on their a**." - SF
Does he realize that we lost this game?

I've never seen a group of people with so much to say after they lose. Even with the Dallas debacles, there was so much to say about what we would do to them, given the right circumstances. How we beat ourselves, and they aren't really that good. The fact that we took a 30pt beating only serves to show that we could, would and should beat them when we 'come to play.' There is no accountability or acknowledement that these are games that we need to win, and it's not getting done.

Great players delivered with class. They were humble in victory, and certainly didn't have commentary, excuses or otherwise, in defeat. I don't have to like players personally, or agree with their remarks, or even their demeanor, but this is indicative of a larger problem. I don't know if it's denial, or attitude, or lack of personal ownership, but it should be time out for all the talking, especially if you're losing to boot.

I don't like the jibber-jabber. Even Sir Charles 'guaranteeing' victories against the Jazz/Sonics in the playoffs. I tire of the excuses and unproven braggadocio(sp?) that are thet signs of immaturity and weak-mindedness. It just looks bad, and at some point, I would hope that the players feel the same. I'm tired of hearing "we need to move the ball, yada yada trust each other, mumble snort mature, blah blah beat the pants off this team next time." At some point, I would hope that the players would appreciate the virtue that is silence and utilize their two eyes and two ears more than their bumping gums.

As some little green dude once reminded us, you must do or do not. There is no try. I believe that what he truly meant to say was; no one wants to hear about why you do or do not. Suck it up and produce.
