So after the trade for Courtney Lee you can pretty much guarantee a lineup of

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Lee/Taylor
    Battier/Budinger
    Scola/Patterson/JJ
    Ming/Miller/Hill

Thats a pretty damned good lineup and bench and now im curious as to what is going to be the rockets biggest hole or weakness this year? Any thoughts.

There isn't necessarily a hole, but we are missing that superstar to take us to the next level. That superstar could really be at any position except Centre.

HEIGHT!!!!! That is our biggest hole... 2nd Shot blocking... And please don't say well Yao is back now...

With Yao at 100% we still cannot compete inside with L.A. on the flip side very few teams can..

i think the thing that is going to hurt us the most is brooks and martin's defense. everything else seems solid

This. And I'd be guessing at the SF position with Battier expiring and providing limited production.

Brooks and Martin are nice, but they just don't generate the excitement that Yao/Tmac had. We need STAR POWER!

We are missing mobility/athleticism up front. That's it.

Athleticism in the starting lineup. Unless you add Budinger as the starter. Also very slow starting lineup except for Brooks. Unless you have Budinger in there. I really cant tell you how much Battier limits us over Ariza and thats why this trade isnt my favorite yet. Until Morey makes the trade after this that makes this trade make more sense. Ariza just fit right there in that forward spot so much better than having Battier there.

All the athleticism won't help you if the defenders make you stay grounded (think Battier). As long as the Rockets maintain gritty defence, I'm not too worried about athleticism. However, I'm hoping that Budinger will eventually get the starting position over Battier.

Courtney Lee could be the 6th man of the year, and I expect him to be the first man off the bench to replace Battier. Yes, sportsfans, I think we're going to see quite a bit of Brooks/Lowry, Lee, and Martin at the 3. I know Martin is awfully slight at the 3, but for 10 minutes a game I think we'll see this lineup to exploit perimeter defenses with Yao/Miller in the post. It'll certainly make fronting Yao more perilous.

Athletic shot blocker, height at the point, legitimate second star.

Hard to see a weakness but one could be budinger not doing good offensively when he comes to replace battier. So we might have kinda a bad night from the sf position.

But I'm sure Martin, Brooks, Yao, and Scola will make up for that

That PF group doesn't excite me much. Scolandry was da ****. I know people are saying PPat is going to be Landry's replacement. But I'll believe it when I see it.

All other positions I feel we're at least two deep.

Martin isn't going to get better than how he's playing right now...
Brooks hasn't even hit his prime yet...
