hes got to be crazy if he thinks we should trade ming to memphis for shane battier and then draft amare stoudamire at #4, everyone knows shane battier is mediocre at best and amare would be available somewhere between #10-12. I thought he is the most hardcore rockets fan out there, then somebody explain to me why he knows nothing about them

    Guys, yall didn't know?

Why take Ming, he's a big project. Stoudemire is NBA ready right now: 20-10 first year at least. He's faking injuries for all the top 3 teams so he'd fall to us at #4. That 6'10'' listing is off-that was his 8th grade height. Now he's 7'1'', solid 280 pounds. He also faked his game at the McD's tournament-he actually is a money 3 point shooter, and has an array of post moves that would make Hakeem Olajuwon blush.

Phoenix and Orlando are the only other teams that know. Orlando is offering us Tracy McGrady and their pick for Stoudemire and Rice, and Phoenix is offering Marbury, Shawn Marion and their lotto pick for Stoudemire, Moochie Norris, and Glen Rice.

If you think Ming is a 4-5 year project, Stoudemire won't be polished until he is 30 (he's 19 now, you do the math).

Anyhow, If our center position didn't suck, Battier/#4 isn't that bad of a deal. But the only possible center you could pick at #4 and not be completely reaching is if you think Wilcox is a center (I don't). Wilcox even at #4 is a reach. Stoudemire at #4? Now that's a reach the size of Yao Ming's vertical reach (which is a dandy 9'7'').

Drafting Stoudamire at #4 seems to be silly right now but this might change with workouts ...

There is no way memphis trades the #4 and Battier for the #1 ... thats way to much for us for moving up 3 spots in a draft without a clearcut #1 ...

Can we all just please stop posting the garbage that TRG spews on his website on this BBS?!?!? This is a guy that admitted to making up rumors in order to increase hits on his site. It has already been established that he has no credibility whatsoever - stop starting threads over here reporting his rumors/opinions.

NIKEstrad, you might want to settle down. Amare is very raw, but I would think in 4 years he'll be a Ben Wallace type.

    D-Up: Yes, I'm kidding.

Point is, if you're trading Ming, you better be getting great proven talent, or potential nearly equal to his. Amare Stoudemire is too short to play center, and does not have handles, nor a post game, nor a shot.

If Stoudemire had a good chance of becoming Ben Wallace, he would have no chance of slipping past the top 5...let alone out of the lottery. He's an athletic specimen. That's it. He's less of a known than Ming-and TRG claims we'd pass on 7'6'' guy, with pre-wrapped marketing, shooting skills, passing skills, and just plain basketball skills, for some undersized center with no skill other than dunking or grabbing rebounds?

Go ask Roy D. Elton about Dragan Tarlac....or sheep.

I always love hearing the BS that this man posts on his website. How much of his rumors and bskball's have come true? Zero. If you post something, post something with validity. I also get a kick when he calls Vescey a "fraud with no truth"- I see it as being hypocritical of him.
