Can I get some opinions on how legit this video is? Some of these things are true but I still think it's a stretch for most. I'm not as informed as others regarding political matters and again just looking for opinions or facts if you are aware of them. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HP7L8bw5QF4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/watch?annota...&feature=iv&src_vid=nE2kMWNJomo&v=HP7L8bw5QF4
95% of YouTube political videos are utter garbage. And that's being generous. The fact that the guy rants about "natural rights" in the annotations bumps that up to 99.99% .
Didn't watch the video, but I'll say this- nuclear weapons have effectively killed any possibility of a world war. More likely is armageddon than another massive, global conflict like WWI or WWII. Not only that, consider how specific the first two were. World War I happened because of a string of complex and multiple military alliances, brewing tension in Europe, and an assassination. World War II only happened because of World War I, and because fascism (a practically dead ideology) became popular. To my knowledge, conflicts as large and deadly as these are extremely rare in the scope of human history.
Conspiracy theorists get proven wrong time and time again and people still flock to them like they are credible.
White countries pretty much stopped fighting each other after Kosovo, and in the brown and black ones we can always bribe the doorman for oil or tungsten, I don't think we'll ever deploy and fight in east Asia again; so I think World Wars are pretty much done for.
Jokes aside, I really and truly think y'all are crazy to say that war is done. That has been said many-a-time in human history, always by someone who was wrong. It may not be a war we can currently understand, and it may or may not involve nuclear weapons, but if I could make one bet (other than Dwight Howard being a massive disappointment for whatever team signs him this summer) it would be on more war in our lifetimes. I would so love to be very wrong about that!
Napoleon and Kublai Khan kind of went to town. And I bet the reason we got a First Amendment is because of all the crappy inter-denominational stuff, like St. Bartholomew's Day, for goodness sake, the founders would have read about in their history books.
True, but did were there several simultaneous brutal invasions like the World Wars? The Asian theater (Japanese expansion into SE Asia and China) was just as, if not worse than, Hitler's invasion of Europe. Napoleon and Genghis Khan were certainly forceful, but they didn't have a counterpart on the other side of the world like Hitler did.
as a Huguenot descendant, i wold just note that The Night of the Long Knives pales in comparison to The Holocaust, or Stalin's atrocities.
