Sunday at 2 pm at Robertson Stadium, the loudest and the hardest stadium for an opposing team to get a win. Aggregate scoring carries over, which is 1-1 from last weekend. Dynamo are clear cut above the rest of the MLS. Anything short of a third ring is unacceptable this year. TV: Telefutura Ch. 55 Radio: 790 AM (English), 850 AM (Espanol) Predicition: Dynamo 3- Red Bulls 1
man i like the fact that they dont play a lot of games on tv. If you wanna watch them you have to pay so they have developed a HUGE fan base. Maybe if they stop showing rockets home games on tv, ppl will actually start showing up to the games.
A Dynamo home playoff game is amazing. If you've never been to a Dynamo game, now is the time to go. It's very electric and most fans never sit down and it's a party in the stands.
I can't recommend it more. Playoff atmosphere* in Houston again; what other teams can promise that in the remainder of 2008? *I won't be able to come into Houston for the game this weekend since it's Sunday and I have to be back in Austin Monday. What is the ticket push in Houston like? Can we expect another 30,000+ there like last year?
I've heard it was over 20K earlier this week so it's could be close to 30K or more. Nope, home and away goals both count the same. We're obviously the better team and if the players come into the game with the right mentality they should be able to take care of business. Angel, van den Bergh, and to a much lesser extent Richards are the only players that really worry me, after them New York is a very mediocre team.
The Dynamo are 5K short of a sellout as of this morning. The average MLS playoff game is 10K. Houston sure does love their Dynamo!
I'm trying to find someone to go to the game with, but if I were to go, how early should I get there to find parking/get to my seat?
Sweet, gonna bleed orange tomorrow. How early should I arrive since it looks like it is/might sell out? And do they sell shirts and stuff at the game?
I would say get there around 45 minutes early, only because of traffic. Dr. Ludicrous may have his own way of getting to Robinson, but what I would do if I were you is if you take 45 South, go one further and exit Tellepsen. Make a u-turn there and then enter UH via Elgin. It will be clear compared to the nightmare that is Cullen. I come up from the East End whenever I go to a game, so like I said, other people may have different shortcuts. Also, you'll want to watch El Batallon and the Texian Army march in.
we usually get to the game about an hour and a half earlier and go eat some philly cheese steak sandwhiches on scott across the stadium, which leads me to my next point, go through scott and you'll find less traffic than cullen.
I come in on Scott also, but I get there 3 hours before game time for tailgating so traffic isn't much of an issue. And if you're early enough you can get in before they start charging for parking.
I'm here in the Press Box. We have all the windows open. It's a PERFECT day for a Dynamo game. UH win yesterday at the Rob, now it's time for the Dynamo to follow suit!
I know I'm answering my own question, but here's a link to the game. Just fill in periods for the word "dot." www dot atdhe dot net/livet-tv-328 dot html Enjoy, fellow Houstonians and fans of our Orange!
