Just something I ran into. Loooooong read, some relevant quotes in bold.

He's a longshot, but he could be McHale's Brad Miller, so you never know.

HAHA I'm loving the brutal honesty this guy has along with a sizeable chip on his shoulder. That JHill quote is gold. Let's see him prove it.

Well I can answer one question for him: guys like Mchale like athletes because they're thinking they can coach the skills later on. If you already got a skills guy but isn't athletic, then he might never be better than he is now.

Regarding Samhan though, I'd like to see what he can do in the summer leagues. The bigger you are the less athleticism matters, I mean Yao Ming was the best in west, and he moved like molasses on the court. We might have a Blair on our hands.

Too bad we don't have more warm up games to see if he really has game. I've never seen him play but I'm now intrigued just from that article.

I don;t think Hill would mind, i think that is every NBA players mind. After Hill played like a beast against Boston I bet he left the court like dang Garnett isn't any better than me! ;). Then he toked up and went back to his normal self.

He has a GREAT point about having good footwork. Coaches at the junior high and high school levels (AAU) dont teach that to big guys anymore. They will let the big guys work on perimeter skills and cross-overs and step back jumpers....

Having good footwork allows you to have great counter moves in the post. With good footwork he could draw a lot of fouls against defenders. Keep them guessing as to which move is coming next... He was a beast in the tournament I do rememeber that. Big body with great control and touch around the basket.

I remeber watching summer league games and always hearing about sandman alot. Must have made an impact.

    - stop calling players stupid. Just because they may not have a basketball iq as high as other nba players (most likely higher than all of ours... except me lol).

Found a decent video on Sandman's post moves. Not a lot of athleticism, but shows some sound footwork, nice drop step, and a nice soft shooting touch for a 300 + lb. Center when this video was shot. He has since lost 50 lbs. He shows better post moves than Hill and Thabeet. Reminds me of Bryant "Big Country" Reeves.

He's right though, JHill was drafted on potential like a majority of those in the lottery, and he prob is better in the post but he's got to prove it consistently when given the opportunity. Also if he was serious about his game, should have never had that 60 lbs on him in the first place.
