5 technical fouls in the first half of a playoff game?! Ever heard of letting them play morons? It's unbelievable how they just give techs like their nothing. You'd think they'd let some of it go considering it's the playoffs.

Make it 6! It was well deserved, but the refs swallowed their whistles when Finley got hammered which led to a Jazz layup and one.

This season will be looked upon as the season that featured the worst officiating in all of sports history. Not just professional sports, ALL SPORTS. The NBA needs to hire a fresh batch from college, because these jokes are just ruining the league. I swear, on EVERY JAZZ POSESSION, there was some kind of violation. On nearly every Mavs posession, there was some kind of no-call.

Obviously the refs are morons, because they just keep falling for Utah's dirty tricks.

    I just wanted to add:

Is Danny Ainge entered into some kind of competition called: "Who can praise the Jazz the most in one half", because I swear every second word out of that moron's mouth was some kind of compliment for the Jazz. I swear, Ainge is really catching up on Doug Collins.

When will announcers realize that the Jazz are THE MOST hated team in the NBA, and fans do NOT like to hear announcers constantly praise them! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Danny Ainge was openly calling flop after flop on the Jazz. He's not as bad as ZRB is making him out to be. The one that was hilarious was when I think Maxwell and a Jazz player flopped off each other with hardly any contact.

It's always fun to watch the Jazz play especially when plays are re-run in slow-motion. [IMG]

Yea, Ainge was trying to say they were flopping as nicely as he could. I would be embarassed to cheer a team that flopped like the Jazz do. At least one Jazz player seems to hit the floor on every possession.

Ainge had a classic line about the Jazz a year or two ago (whenever it was, he was announcing and not coaching).

I can't remember all of it, but the gist of it was that someday all five of their players would flop at the same moment, and they'd be caught red-handed.

Not as bad? He was calling the flops and saying: "What a great veteran move by (insert flopper)." That's all he could say. That kind of play should not be complimented, it should be shunned. That is what is alienating fans .

This game is boring the hell out of me. Flops and Fouls is all I see. [IMG]

Where are the Lakers vs. Blazers or Suns vs. Kings. I need some real basketball action. [IMG]

This is by far the worst (non-Rocket-loss) game I have ever had the mispleasure of watching.

    Ninety-one freakin' free throws. [IMG]

They should've just said screw the inbound and bringing the ball up court. Just go straight to the free throw line; we'll meet you there.

One of the 5 worst officiated NBA games I have ever watched.

With a few exceptions, the Rockets are going to lack playoff experience next season. I hope they are smart enought to see how the Jazz baited the more athletic Mavs into playing their (sorry) brand of basketball.

Not much would make me happier than the Rockets returning to the playoffs and sweeping the Jazz out of the playoffs!!

I didn't see the game, but if you read the papers you could see this game coming. With the Mavs complaining about flopping and rough play after Game 1, you knew they were going to come out looking to beat up on the Jazz some. And the Jazz were obviously going to respond in kind. And the refs read the comments and they know everyone's going to looking to hit the other guy. How could you expect there not to be a ton of fouls when everyone comes into the game with that attitude?

Have you seen some of these testosterone driven male Jazz fans ,in the the courtside area, who spazz out every time a call goes against the Jazz. The Jazz would be the LAST team I would want season ticket's for.

On Ainge, he was professionaly criticizing the Jazz. I didn't agree with his comment that other coaches love how they play though. I doubt if you polled the coaches, that would be their consensus.

I really can't seem to understand how the NBA loves and promotes the jazz so much. NOBODY LIKES OR RESPECTS THEM STERN!!!! It's not because they're great it's because they play dirty and get all the calls. Why didn't you promote a team like The Rockets instead who proved everyone wrong on numerous occasions.

That's OK though because we will prove you wrong again.

What a crappy game to watch.

BTW, anyone want to take bets on how much Cuban gets fined? I say 125k.

Wasn't his comment something more along the lines they love how they play, but coaches still hate the way they play? I thought he was saying that other coaches hated the flopping but loved their execution of their plays. If the latter, then I can't disagree. I don't know of too many teams that execute their offense as systematically as they do. But then, not every team has a Stockton carving up defenses with his passing ability. I hate him, but am still amazed by him.

I'm sure he was commenting on the execution of their offense, but I'm not sure I heard him talk about the flopping in the way you think he did. It sounded more to me like he was almost complementing them ,at some points, for being the best team at flopping and that other teams which they were as effective at doing it. It was as if he was complementing them for their cheat tactics. I don't think he cared for their tactics, but he didn't express it as much as I would have liked.

On the polling the coaches thing, I'm sure most coaches respect them as a team, because you have to give credit to a team that has been that successful for that long, but I highly doubt they respect the brand of basketball the Jazz play.
