The refs are the reason the Rockets are not in the 7th spot right now!

First off the refs not only do a terrible job but they are also a bunch of crooks. Need evidence go back to the airplane ticket scam. The referee that ejected Steve for nothing should have been dismissed or suspended the next day. I am not saying the NBA does not want the Rockets in the playoffs but I am saying the refs are really costing the Rocks a shot at this years playoffs with their bad calls. This type of garbage would never have happened to the NBA's babies the Lakers. I know for a fact the NBA is fixed in terms of preferred calls
but the calls the Rockets are getting are just blown calls and it has got out of hand.

So you're saying that only the Rockets have lost games because of the refs? You don't think bad calls cost any other teams any wins?

While I agree that the refs have cost the Rockets numerous games, I still think the Rockets are to blame for not being in the playoffs right now. Those losses to the Clippers, Warriors, Celtics and Nuggets really hurt. I know no team can beat all the teams they should, but just think. With those 5 wins, the Rockets would be 43-25! They would be battling for home court advantage, rather than the postseason itself. You CAN blame the refs, but it makes more sense to blame the Rockets.
But I do agree that if the Rockets had gone without some of those horiffic calls, they would be in great shape. Conspiracy? I doubt it. Untalented, stuck-up refs? You bet.

You cannot say what the Rockets record would be if they had won those games. Winning any one of the games you cited would have changed their season, perhaps for the better, perhaps for the worse.

I don't know about a conspiracy, but it sure does seem like when a NBA favorite (Lakers, Jazz, Spurs, Kings, etc.) takes on a NBA blacksheep (Rockets) the calls seem to favor the media favorite.

well i dont know that it's totally the ref's fault. Hell, when you can't beat the damn Clippers, getting pissed at a ref isnt gonna solve a thing. They lost the season series to those clowns, they totally blew it tonight. Why do we gotta always make it so hard on ourselves. It's bad enough we have to come back from 20 points almost every night to win, but losing to the Clippers means we have to work that much harder to get into the playoffs.

I think the Mavs and the Rockets are in the same boat when it comes to bad officiating. In Dallas, we sure remember the goaltending non-call that made Mark Cuban end up gett ing his $250,000 fine. The refs definitely do tend to favor the "good" teams, but more so the "good" players. Players like Shaq, Malone, Stockton, Webber, Duncan, Robinson, etc get fouls called in their favor because they are respected. Meanwhile teams like the Mavs and Rockets get the shaft.

How are the Jazz and Spurs media favorites? They're not big markets and neither of them play a very exciting brand of basketball. Where is Oliver Stone when you need him!?

Why is Gonzaga always given a double digit seed? Just move them to the Sweet 16 where they belong and let them play from there.
