the real reason why yao had such a great game was because brad miller didnt front him. im sorry to say this, but its the truth. :(

He always tears up the Kings because they never front him. Don't read too much into this game.

I definitely play more aggressive in front of my girl. Not necessarily better though :p

Yao did NOT play well IMO; he did okay, made up for his stupid fouls by being extremely effective and hitting big shots down the stretch.

Us rox fans should (was expecting) expect more from Yao this year.

Absolutely not...? Being able to stay on court for 25 mins is not going to help us in the long run, we can't expect him to be as effective as he was down the stretch. We need his presence on court more than anything else.

Consider this: 20/10 in 25 mins or 19/9 in 35 mins?

For real, I'm not going to sit here and say he had a break out game, but it was solid. Certainly not without errors/mistakes, and yes it could have been better. BUT...you can't really complain about the stat line, and getting at least one offensive foul b/c of his aggressiveness. I'll take an O-foul over a stupid D-foul that he's prone to anyday. I like what I see so far. If he gives that kind of production CONSISTENTLY this year, we are in good shape.

Although I can't argue that having Yao on the floor is better than him not being on the floor, his production is hardly bad in, like you say, 25 minutes. I know there is more than the stat line, but when I see 20/10 in 25 vs. 19/9 in 35 i see 10 minutes of no production. I know, I know...the intangibles. I just see less efficiency, and it's not like we don't have deke and swift to back Yao up when he screws up and gets in foul trouble. BUT...I agree, it's been Yao's biggest problem...staying on the floor...period.

Seriously. I wonder what his career averages against the Kings are. He used to play pretty decently against Vlade (whose only defense at that stage of his career was trickery), too.
