I know alot of people here are flip floppers and tend to make changes w/ out thinking things through (Thanks goodness your not in charge of the Rox). But lets sit back and take a look at what REALY need to be changed. & no i dont think we should tell JVG to get lost welll not until the end of this year or maybe even tell his contract is up. What does need to happen is a change in our offensive approach (duhh thats a no brainier). I really do think we need to run the ball up rather than walk, w/ a player like T-Mac you MUST drop the half court offense and run the freakin ball! I hope JVG can stop been so stubborn and change his approach if he turley wants to win like he says. Next and i think this is the most important one, get a new point! We need a young/experienced point guard who can run the ball up or slow it down when needed. Not only hit the 3 ball but slash to the basket and draw a foul when needed too. We desperately need that 3rd option which we currently lack. Im sure things can change as the season goes on BUT as of now this is where i stand. Comments? Changes?

You're stating the obvious. JVG doesn't run the ball because he doesn't have the personnel to do so (specifically PG). There are other ways to fix the offense, though, that should fit this team better.

I don't think JVG will change. It's how he's always run his o - little o for little offense. He doesn't see a problem with his o just the players running his o. If CD were to insist that he hire an O coach, I think he'd step down.

You say the solution to our problem is our offensive approach. Yet, you don't want to get rid of JVG- he is the problem of our offensive approach.

This is not a anti-JVG post. I'm just saying that as long as JVG is here, we will always be a defense-oriented team, which isn't that bad, but it is taking too much away from our offense.

JVG isn't going to change his approach. He's not going to wake up one morning and say-we need to concentrate less on D and more on offense. And even if he did, he wouldn't know how to anyways.

JVG needs players that fit into his system. A good coach finds ways to make the system fit the players.

Making the playoffs and 2nd round is something we should be doing, it shouldn't be some kind of achievment.

But to answer your question, I don't think it would change the way I feel. I personally feel that JVG will never be able to fully utilize the potential of this team.

But I definitely agree with your assesment about the offense and PG. However, I don't think we can address the offense problem while JVG is at the helm.

I agree. Just because we make it to the 2nd round doesnt mean we accomplished anything. That is where our team is supposed to be right now. Plus i cant blame JVG for all our offense troubles. But if we do get a good pg who can run the ball well and we are still walking up the ball and taking 15 seconds to get a play started. Then i will join the fire JVG bandwagon.

Running the ball is well and good for TMac, but what about the huffing, puffing, lumbering giant known as Yao Ming? The guy would drop dead by halftime!

Yeah i just realized that we had one of the best pg in the league last year in Steve, and JVG still didnt know how to use him. Forget it, I have been holding out this long but now im jumping on the Fire JVG bandwagon unless he can show me something good as the season progresses.

    1) Give Yao Ming a Heart and Lung Transplant,..courtsey of a male gorilla.

    2) Feed Him Bananas

    3) Teach him plyometrics,..then he'll really be a monkey.
