60-year-old jumps on crocodile to save man SYDNEY, Australia - A 60-year-old woman jumped on the back of a crocodile as it dragged a man from his tent in northern Australia on Monday, but was then attacked by the crocodile, which dragged her toward the ocean until it was shot dead. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6230852/?GT1=5472
The injured campers managed to set off a rescue beacon, capturing the attention of government wildlife officials in the area who were eradicating wild pigs. Call me crazy, but if my campground had crocs AND wild pigs, I'd think about finding a new place to camp.
Jump on a crocodile's back, then get attacked and dragged towards the ocean until someone rescues him? You're probably right. Hell, I could do that.
I'd definitely stay away from croc sites but a lot of people don't realize that wild pigs (boars, hogs, razorbacks) can be very harmful to humans, if not deadly.
behad - normally would completely agree last year there was a tourist from overseas killed by a croc as they swam in a water hole which was had large signs all around saying large croc present this story is different, this was 3 local families camping together in the same site they had visited the past 3 years, they followed the instructions about getting rid of food waste (as not to attract Crocs) and the most bizarre thing is their tents where away from the water, the Croc walked 40 metres on land and entered the guys tent, bit the guy and started to drag him back to the water (thats what the do, drown their live food store it under water and eat later) and then the 60 in the next tent jumped on it and it started going after her and then another relative shot it... amazing story, but certainly not a stupid people story
You you havent jumped on the back of a man eating Croc....your not even classed as a true Australian.
