Today's entree: Scattered Musings a la (Larry) King... * I love T-Mac. Words cannot express the way I feel about this guy. I have no doubt whatsoever he will get us another title (or several) before it's all said and done. * Yao will likely improve again next year, from 18/8 to 22/10 or so. I'd prefer he learn to give us consistant numbers and effort every night, even if his totals went DOWN in the process. This Jackyll and Hyde thing has got to stop. * The biggest off-season acquisition we could possibly make would be to find a nasty personality somewhere within Yao Ming. Combine that with T-Mac and you could plug ANYbody into the other three starter spots. * I'm really hoping Ewing isn't picked as the stand-in when JVG is serving his inevitable suspension. * If we could somehow sign Artest and Sprewell, we could become the anti-Stern all-star team and maybe, just maybe, induce a heart attack in the little guy. * I don't want to add any crooked-headband-wearing, knee-high-sock-having players. I like the stripped-down ready-for-business look our current team has (with Moochie planted firmly on the bench, of course). It's like Mike Tyson's old black trunks/black shoes combo. * Here's hoping CD can somehow pluck another Mobleyesque gem from our bad spot in the draft. * Anyone who thinks Spanoullis or Badiane will do anything more than possibly contribute a few minutes off the bench next year is dreaming. But it's time to get them over here and see what we've got. * The Jim Jackson trade had a happy ending after all: We dropped his plodding style and he latched on with a title contender. * I can't even imagine what Steve Francis was thinking sitting at home watching his former beloved team *and* his best friend in the playoffs. Got a random thought? Let's hear it.
I am wishing that one of our great video guys here can compile a video with sounds of the season/appropriate music, and have some kind of a hopful message and ending to it. Legenz or R2K or anyone else who specializes in this area: one last great inspiration vid for us, please?
Thibadeaux, not Ewing, would be the stand in for JVG. There is a very good chance Ewing isn't back here next year. He is definitely NOT head coaching material and he has to know it.
