Before, I wasn't sure that we would make the post season this year. Now, barring major injuries, I think we make it.

Yao will be particularly dangerous in the playoffs because of his high basketball IQ. The dramatic improvement in his performance when he meets a team for the 2nd time is well documented.

Now, let's think about a 5 game series. Assuming a team devises a good scheme to defend Yao, is there any reason to think that Yao will not become more dangerous with each game? Is there any reason to think that Yao won't recognize a change from zone, to man, to weak side double team, to box and one?

Furthermore, in the playoffs, half court execution is critical. At this point, it is clear that we are at our best when we run crisp, but methodical plays through the post. Our movement is deliberate and effective. In stark contrast, our movement when Yao's not in the game exists, but is frenzied, directionless and too often ineffective.

Finally, we have played our best ball against quality teams. Our defensive intensity picks up, and we play a half a step quicker.

By the year end, our defense should be consistent enough to keep us in close games. The question is whether we can execute down the stretch. It will be fun to watch Francis Mobley and Yao learn to win.

The Rox will be a very good playoff team over the years because half-court sets are so important when the defense is stepped up during the playoffs.

Even this season, Yao gets our guards layups consistently in a half-court set. Amazing!

Just like in early 90's, we'll be the team nobody wants to face in the 1st round. I'm already excited but there is a lot of work to do between now and then.

!!!We are 3 losses from 4th place to 10th place and out of the race.!!!
