Everything that could go wrong did, other than Sengun playing well. I don't believe GS will make those shots all series long and I don't believe we will be as bad as we were on offense the other night either. All of that said, our season data for free throws and 3P gives us all the reason in the world to be concerned. I get it. The offensive scheming was rough. Need more shots for Bari and to create easier offense for Green and Amen to get them going. We rallied from 24 down and were still right there. We were shook, vets included. This isn't a grizzled veteran opponent. This is a GRIZZLED veteran opponent. Coming out with such a young team, this was the result that I expected. I am disappointed but only bothered by Udoka (lack of offensive preparation) and FVV. I believe in those two to take what they saw and adjust. If we win game 2, I predict we will win the series. If we don't win the series, kudos to the organization for setting us up well for the future.
Thanks for starting this thread @Francis3422! I was so demoralized after the game Sunday, because I hate to lose to those cocky Cali suckers, I needed positive energy as we go into Weds night's contest. We have to reduce turnovers and hit some damn outside shots. We hope we take it to them this game and remind them what we're capable of.
