    ...affected your pre-season expectations?

Well what was everybodys pre-season expectations for the first 10 games? For those of us seeing them get a playoff seed of 6-8 you can't say that they are on pace, after the first 10 games, not with 6 of them being home and one of the away games being against the Clippers.

I was looking to see them fight for these playoff position and expected them to be around 7-3 after 10 games. What where your expectations?

On the other hand - Am I worried that they are "only" 5-5? No, can't say that I am. Not with the injuries we have had starting with pre-season and up to now. I expect them to get better as the season continues and still be playoff bound when the season ends. But of course - then they have to step it up some.

I had hoped for a 6-4 or 7-3 start, but I will be pleased if we get to 6-5 on Saturday.

Actually 5-5 is exactly where I thought theyd be.

    I figured loses to the
Lakers (even figured in a win against them)
    Portland
    Milwaukee
    Phoenix
    and Minnesota

Ill stick to my preseason prediction of around 40-45 wins and a possible 8th seed.

but not feeling disappointed at all yet.

I am anything but disappointed. Guys if you were expecting anything better than .500 for the first 10 you were kidding yourselves. We have a young team who is still gelling. Playing the teams we have played I am very pleased with the heart this team has showed thus far. A 40 win season would be a huge success, and that is what I am hoping for, anything more is just gravy baby.

Heath, I'm a little suprised that the Rockets have an 0-4 record on the road, but i'm not too disappointed about that since all except one the Rockets were gamers.

It is a little shocking to see the Rockets struggle offensively, i thought they'd be one of the top teams in offensive categories, but i still do think that will improve, once again, like last year as the season goes along.

I've always thought we'd have around 48 wins, and 5-5 is exactly where I thought and expected to be. Out of these first 10 games, 5 of them were against the Lakers (twice), Portland, Phoenix, and Minnesota. All but two were on the road. Any time you have those opponents in a 10 game stretch I'll take 5-5 without question.

    Yupp, and thanks. [IMG]

I have actually registered with the BBS before as Heath, but could not remember the freakin' pwd. But as I couldn't get it sent to me I figured I had to add a new account, but I understand now that the old account went down the tubes so I could have used Heath all over again.

On our win situation. I'm not disappointed, but come on, we should have taken atleast 1 away game (Clippers come to mind) and if we had taken wins in our 6 homegames - thats 7-3 for you. But actually 7-3 was more like the most I hoped for, so I was pushing it a bit when I said I expected 7-3. But not at all disappointed - our schedule has been though - the team is gellin, and we have had some injuries to deal with. It all will come around as the season continues. So what are your expectations for the next 10 games? I have not checked the schedule just yet so I cant give you mine, but I think regardless we should have more wins than losses after 20 matches - If not then I will say I'm starting to get dissapointed and doubt a playoff berth.

I very happy with the 5 & 5 record. All but the clippers were playoff teams last year. We've had injuries so the team has gotten to gel together. Cat is taking his game to another level. Collier was been a huge suprise. Hakeem is playing well and Francis has yet to hit his stride. When he does and we get everyone healthy watch out the rockets will start making some noise.
