Keep in mind I'm looking for guys to settle for, not guys the Rockets would want. None of them are perfect, & all of them have flaws. They would be guys who you'd look for to add to the current mix for camp, which would include Lue and Wilks, and some time possibly for Gaines, or even Jim Jackson in the right situations.

Here's the list of marginal NBA'ers who are free agents that had any appeal to me and appear superfluous to their teams:

    The 'tweeners:
    Damon Jones
    Chris Whitney

    The has-been's:

    Bimbo Coles
    Doug Overton
    Rod Strickland
    Dana Barros

    The never-were's:

    Jason Hart
    Mo Williams
    Darrick Martin

...or any others that you think would fit this list. In any case, would think that in this type of desperate situation, the Rockets would tend to look at someone off the "has-been" list, but again, opinions welcome.

I would like to have Damon Jones out of that list. He play at U of H and he finally showed taht he can play this year and do what is told of him, Be a smart point guard and play within his abilities. I wouldn't mind having him but i think he would be better suited as a back up but could make some impact as a starter as he did last year after the injury to the starting point guard.
