I remember hearing that the Suns were desperate for a big man and were offering Shaun Marion for some size. I thought "Maybe we could trade Cato for Cliff since Phoenix wanted Cato this past summer!" Ummm, forget that. Dude is in trouble for speeding, drinking, and marijiuana charges: Robinson released from custody SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Phoenix Suns forward Clifford Robinson was arrested Monday on charges of driving under the influence and possession of mar1juana, a police spokesman said. Robinson Robinson was stopped because he was driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone and "was weaving in and out of the lanes" about 1:30 a.m. MST in northern Scottsdale, said police spokesman Scott Reed. "There was the odor of alcohol coming from his car and his eyes were watery and bloodshot," Reed said. Robinson initially refused to get out of his car and twice refused to take a field sobriety test, Reed said. He later submitted to a blood test, however Robinson's blood alcohol level wouldn't be known for several days pending test results, he said. Officers also found what appeared to be mar1juana residue in the center console of Robinson's car, a small foil packet of what they believed to be mar1juana and a pipe, Reed said. The mar1juana possession charge was pending final lab verification of the substance, he said. Robinson also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Reed said. A passenger who said he was an out-of-town friend was in the car with Robinson, but was not charged, Reed said. Police would not release the passenger's name. Robinson was released about three hours after he was picked up. Suns owner Jerry Colangelo told radio station KFYI on Monday that it's "disappointing whenever one of our athletes is involved in any kind of an incident. "But you know, this is real life," Colangelo said. "You have to deal with these issues and athletes are not immune." Robinson's arrest marked the third time in four months that Suns players have gotten in trouble with the law. Point guard Jason Kidd was arrested Jan. 18 in the Phoenix suburb of Paradise Valley on a misdemeanor domestic abuse charge after his wife, Joumana, told police that he hit her in the face during an argument. The incident occurred just days after Paradise Valley authorities decided to drop an intimidation charge filed Dec. 14 against Kidd's backcourt mate, Penny Hardaway. Hardaway had been accused by the mother of his 8-year-old daughter of intimidating her by carrying a gun during an argument outside Hardaway's home in November. The charge was dropped when the woman declined to cooperate further in the case. Geez what's next, Shawn Marion carjacking people? Googs and Dudley getting involved in extortion? What the hell is going on with the Phoenix Suns!? ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .

Is anyone really naive enough to think that the NBA doesn't have a chronic problem with pot...excuse the pun I'd bet 25% of the guys in the NBA do pot...just like society. ------------------
25%?? That is a little low, don't you think??? ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
I heard someone say last year that 75% of the players in the NBA do pot, and Charles said it's a lot higher then that! To bad Uncle Cliffy was the one that got caught by the authorities! ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
75% sounds too high, but 25% might be too low. ------------------ The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. Since each and every person is so precious to themselves Let the self-respecting harm no other being. -from the Samyutta Nikaya
