http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=86158&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 this is a laker forum commenting on Rocket fans... interesting. Some of you guys are being watched. They think we're being ignorant in thinking we have a chance. I guess no one is as good as a team that relies on a date rapist to score its points.
haha, i love how they seem to take offense in the fact we think our team has a chance. would they prefer us to think we have no chance and just continuously praise the lakers? where's the fun in that? we'll see how the games end up being played; what we say doesn't really matter anyway.
I agree with the poster above, somebody from the Lakers board quote me on this: Do you want us to get down and praise you guys? Is that what Rockets fans are supposed to do? Use your common sense, its reasonable for Rockets fans to think we have a shot regardless of how bleak the situation. Its called the NBA, and anything can happen. Ron might break his leg. Or Kobe. Somebody may get suspended for a few games. Anything like that can swing a series... so yeah, **** you LA
not to mention they underestimate our players defensive ability... Battier and Artest and a great wall from China are nothing to be taken lightly. Oh wait, they won season games while the team was regaining its composure from T-mac drama... I guess we can't win guys. No chance at all. Kobe "Date Rape" Bryant will save them if they can't get it up (the numbers I mean).
Their site is ugly.. their front page I mean. Looks like some kid out of high school who took webmastering made the front page. Just thought Id throw that out there
Guys - don't get too offended. These Lakers "fans" have only been "Fans" again for a little over a year now. You can't fault them for a little enthusiasm.
in fairness to them, I was really embarrassed reading some of the idiotic quotes they took from here.. quoting Eminem? seriously? I'm not really familiar with their board, but from the small sample size, it seems like most of them know what they're talking about, as opposed to the collection of Yao-loving 15-year-olds that make up the majority of our GARM.. I mean, some of them are notoriously homerish, but they don't even come close to the "Yao Ming should be MVP of all leagues! NBA is raceast and no like yellow man!" crowd that we have posting here.. anyway, I hope we kick the living crap out of those ugly yellow and purple good for nothing r****ds..
I would try to come up with a clever response here that is topped off with an "original" nickname of their best player... but I don't feel a need to. I have faith in my Rockets. It's going to be a tough series, but I think they can win. Now I'll just let the Rockets play do the talking and not worry about what other teams' fans think of me.
Guys, just remember.. this is the classiest basketball forum on the internet. We don't want to go over there and start something... just stay off their board, we have to show our class by just remaining here. We have to show much more respectful/classier Clutchfans is by just ignoring their comments...
I'm fairly puzzled to why some of them keep talking about Brian Cook because he's a former Laker. I mean, Wafer I understand because he's actually doing stuff and he's played great against LA. But Cook? Adelman using Cook means that the outcome is decided one way or another - he's a nonfactor. I don't know why the Lakers talk about him.
Laker fans are so dumb, not worth arguing with or talking to them. I love how other teams and NBA "fans" overlook our team because we don't have a "superstar" and dismiss us so easily. And someone on their board said they blew us out by 30 points when we had a healthy T-Mac? T-Mac was a gimp from the moment he laced up his shoes in preseason. On a side note to the Laker fans, we are loyal fans of the Houston Rockets. We knowledgeable fans know the odds are against us to lose this series, but obviously we are going to root for our team and have some hope in the guys we put out on the floor every night. Get over yourselves
I went over there and read their forums and various threads and i notice one thing. The Lakers fans are not very intelligent. They post a lot of one-liner posts...like usually one sentence post and hardly go into deep analysis when someone post and discuss a problem with them. This tells me they're not smart and pretty childish fan...most are probably in their teen flooding the forums. They think Lakers are going to sweep Houston based on the regular season record and yet they don't go into the reason why Houston got swept. They failed to see how close some of the games were or didn't care to discuss how Houston got some of their key players out or that the team is totally different once Tmac and Rafer left. They didn't bother to look into that...and blindly based their superiority on the 4-0 (in which 3 of them meaningless) regular season games. That really bother me. I hope Rockets came out and surprise them.
