The other Reason why Rick Aldeman is a better fit for the Rockets than Van Gundy

It's been sufficiently covered about the differences in coaching style between Rick and Jeff.

But I think the OTHER BIG FACTOR that separates Coach Aldeman and Van Gundy is the poor decision making over the past 4 years in regards to stocking up on talent.

Under Van Gundy's helm, the Rockets have in a BIG way goofed up and lost alot of talented players.

Jeff Van Gundy let Eddie Griffin go for nothing, traded Mike James for Alston, threw away our chance to get Rookie of the Year Brandon Roy, released Boki Nachbar, pissed off Vspan, and swept Bonzi under the rug.

If Gundy had traded EG, kept Mike James, locked up Brandon Roy, developed Boki and unleashed Vspan, we would be right up there with Dallas and Phx. We would have cruised past Utah, crushed Golden State, and Van Gundy instead of announcing the Utah/San Antonio series, would be scrambling on the floor grabbing Horry's legs.

Rick Aldeman I don't think will blunder our talent pool the way Van Gundy has.
