Okay. Time for a slightly novel idea that some of you may enjoy. And though it's been similarly done before... Today while at lunch I was jamming to an old CD that I found while cleaning up at the office... So I propose this question: What was the one band from your youth that was primarily hated or jeered by others... and even still has only a select few followers, even among your friendship circle. In other words, what band did you like, even though you had people making fun of you then, and maybe even now? And... you'll admit to jamming it in the ride every now and then... Mine? They've got some newer stuff... but the classics are still the best IMO. I know, you may not like them... so who is YOUR goofy, silly, ridiculous band/singer?
Duran Duran Unfortunately, their image has always looked silly-80's-ish, but I've liked a lot of their music. Rio was a fantastic album and song and still is today.

That's a winner! I even still jam: I love the viola in Earth Stopped Cold At Dawn, and Old Man And Me is a cool song.
Ditto The Escape album came out when I was in Junior High and all my friends acted like they didn't like them and throw on some Maiden.
