I really have been on Steve all year but tonight he was awesome and if he can keep playing like this we can really go somewhere...
    man 27 pts/ 9 rb/ 7 assists/ 3 tos/ 4-5 from 3...wow!
and his drives down the end on the 4th were amazing
I know we can't expect this to be a regular but its nice to see he can still do it

They really stepped it up today. Steve Francis has been fantastic this post season. Seriously, he is our MVP so far BY far. He nearly had another triple double in the playoffs!!! He hit 4 Threes tonight! WHOOOP!!

His passes were crisp and on the mark today. When Mark Jackson came in, it seemed like we were playing slo motion ball. I loved the fast paced game Stevee ran today... Loved each and every minute of this game... and that pose after that insane shot is gunna be a poster on my wall soon enough... O yea and he did it again after that.... :D

Isnt this what Van Gundy has been trying all season to get Steve away from?

Hey, let's not forget Cuttino, who played Kobe to a dead heat without committing any fouls! :D How did he do that?

Sorry that Yao didn't get to take every shot.....like the dream (wet as it may be) that you have been having. Seriously Steve has been great in the playoffs so far.........and he has gotten his teammates involved. Who cares who scores what as long as we win???

Ironic quote, since YOUR moniker is "Ming the Dream" :p

But yes, I agree steve has definitely what it takes to compete in the playoffs. He's just been showing these signs of a great post season, determined and SMART mvp player, throughout this series. He definitely gives great reasons to keep him next season. And if we do, I certaintly hope we'll still be able to conjur up some sort of trade , that might get us the other extra pieces we need to improve.

    Fun, fun, fun :D

Big props to go to Stevie. He has without a doubt come into the playoffs with his game face on. You can say what you like about him during the regular season, but he definately deserves a lot of praise for his play of late.

Cmon Yetti, lay off the Hatorade for a bit. SF is coming through and showing us why he wears the "C" on his jersey

    No, Yetti. Wrong again.

I know the game must have been painful for you to watch, but what is happening is that Steve is taking these playoffs to prove who the Rocket's best player is.

Keep playing like this, and Van Gundy will be adjusting his thougts of the team and the offense.

That's not to say that we won't still try to establish Yao in the post, but the days of thinking that the Rocks will just dump the ball down to Yao and stand around outside every single play are done.

JVG wanted the same number of shots, only with less dribbles. I wanted the Steve we've seen lately, only with him making his shots. I think everybody but Yetti got what they wanted.

Btw, I know that it is Shaq that is defending him, but Yao needs to be more aggressive and take his shots when he is down in the low post.

One thing that not many peopel mentioned is that when facing Lakers, Francis has a bigger mismatch than any other positions. Yao did extreamly well because he is facing Shaq. Mobly did extremely well because he's facing Kobe. Francis did great because he's facing Gary Payton who is not longer the gloove.

Oh, JJ has a better mismatch too and that's why he did great too.

poor Yetti, he's bashed Steve Francis all year long and now Steve makes him look like an ass. The franchise isn't going anywhere

Another great game by SF. I hope he and JVG start to reevaluate their futures together. It does help, in this series, that the Lakes are not forcing Stevie to work too hard on D as they pound it inside or forget to with #8. Francis is not forced into a One-on-One match-up. But he has forced the focus, hasn't he?

    [sigh] You two kids . . .

Yetti, you might want to think about picking your battles. This is not the time.

Steve had a magnificent game. Like the rest of the board I'm ecstatic. But it's a stretch to say that: 1) Steve is suddenly the best player again; and 2) after one game, Van Gundy will decide that he's been wrong all this time and re-orient his offensive schema.

A win's a win's a win. Let's just be happy for a change! No sniping. (And Yetti, what does that red part of your signature say?)
