Admit it, my friends, you are thoroughly impressed with T-Mac. Even without Yao, the Rockets still need to go for the championship, a.k.a. Clutch City III. Yao can be along the ride for Clutch City IV. Please feel free to post why you think T-Mac should be the frontrunner for the league's Most Valuable Player. Signed, HoustonForever
I'd like to see him get it, but he doesn't deserve it this year. The season isn't over yet, but he would have to bring his game to another level and the Rockets would have to go 21-2 or 20-3 for him to be in the discussion.
he has zero chance of winning it b/c tmac and yao are just sharing the load. but who cares? if he does more of this, good things will happen. he has had 2 dunks of the night the past week <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rBXZYChE7ro"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rBXZYChE7ro" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
kobe is going to win this year hands down imo. the guy has been the best player in the league for the past couple of years but the knock was that his team never did well....now that his team is in first place in the west there is no way they can deny him the award unless the media truly hates him. honestly its a freakin travesty that steve nash has two and dirk has one mvp awards while kobe has none
Hmph, Rockets need to win next 15 games in a row and only then McGrady is MVP. Come over it, this thread will dissapear when Rockets lose just ONE game.
Are you kidding me? CP3's Hornets are melting down. I used to support YAO to be MVP, but since he's gone so I support TMAC.
If we get the 1st seed, he'll get some consideration. The problem is he missed too many games already. Yao carried the team in his absence which will take away some votes. Rick Adelman however is making a strong case for Coach of the Year.
come on, wtf? He's not a candidate, and he doesn't deserve to be. Paul, Kobe, Lebron...those are your candidates. Don't be THAT much of a homer. And why is this official again?
He's not even going to be in conversation unless the Rockets get home court advantage. 19-1 since he returned to the team does look pretty good, though.
I'm in! McGrady for MVP! howevaaah, I just don't think that he will get it over Kobe. National writers have been waiting to have their kobe orgasm for the longest time and Kobe knows this. The torn finger ligament adds an element of drama, even though It's probably just jammed.
No way. He is good, but this is a "Team" effort which is why the team is better. No more "it's on me" crap. DD
If Tmac can get us to 1st or 2nd in the West. He'll be in the top two in MVP voting no doubt about it.
i love tmac but he has been unimpressive this season... definitely would not give him MVP this year. it belongs to Kobe.
