Well folks, it's that time of the year again. You know, the time when Texas fans get all excited and gets beat once again by their daddy....I hear it's supposed to have 5 mph winds this year...better watch out!! Anyway...thoughts about the game?
If Vince Young starts or plays the majority of the game: UT 35 OU 30 If Mock gets more minutes: UT 21 OU 35
does anyone know why they are called the boomer sooners? Here's an alternate theory: ppl from oklahoma go boom sooner in the bedroom than most men do..... hmmmm.... on a totally separate note, if we are even gonna have a chance, play Vincent Young! Mack Brown *I HOPE* has finally made the realization that his traditional plays aren't gonna get him anywhere against OU.
MY PREDICTION: Horns-30 Sooners-27...... god i hope im right....cant drive to dallas everyyear and watch us lose.!!! START VINCENT AND ITS 4:15 and OU STILL SUX!!! they dont actually suck but what a great saying....
Either way I'm happy, but I'd like OU to win so Tech can beat the #1 team later this year on their way to the Big 12 championship. I hate both, I just hate Texas a little more.
well ou definitely owns this series. this 3 game win streak is way longer than the 3 game win streak we had from 97-99 or the 4 gamer in the late 80's early 90's. of course this 3 just happens to be all 3 years i've been at UT, so that's what makes it blow so much. i almost don't wanna sit in my 40 yd line, 1st row seats just b/c i'd rather not be there for a 40 point ass whoopin'. if our D can play like they did against ksu, aggressive and making plays, then ou shouldn't be able to score a lot against us. and if vince's ankle heals up, we might be able to score something against ou. i'm not holding out much hope that the latter is greater than the former though and am assuming we get beat nicely. course even if we win we'll probably move up to about 9 in the rankings and ou will fall to about 6 and none of the media will care that UT is behind the team they beat.
I disagree if UT beats OU they will move past them in the rankings. If you beat Kansas St. and OU you will move up more then 4 spots. Especially with about 2 teams ahead of them every week loosing.
Well beating a #1 team would open people's eyes, giving Symons a Heisman and Tech more votes in the polls.
If OU wins, I think they are going to win big. If UT wins, I think we are going to squeak by. Despite the semi-big win against K-State, OU is still the safe bet in this game. God, I hope we beat 'em.
I missed yesterdays UT game against KSU. But from what Ive seen from them is that they cant get a running game going. Unless that changes nothing will change and Oklahoma will win this thing again. Their defense is top of the line and their offense is playing very well. If UT would play Vince Young more I believe they would stand a chance. A mobile QB is just another weapon to use against Oklahoma the more you have the better chance you have. I think Oklahoma wins this game pretty easily Oklahoma 24 Texas 10
