Let me first say that I am for this trade. I wasn't at first because of my emotional attachment to my favorite current rocket, but I think this trade is a good thing.

However, I will always like Cuttino Mobley as a player. The dude just made being a rockets fan fun. I know his short comings as a player such as not being able to pass or see anyone else on the court, but I like him none the less.

The things I like about Cat are:

He plays his heart out and never slows down.
    He plays hurt.
He was a bargain, contract wise.
He took less money to stay in Houston.
He was gem from the second round.
He could go right by anyone in the league. The fastest first step in the league.
He took what ever role that was given to him. (PG, super sub, second fiddle, primary scorer, defensive stopper, 3 pt specialist.)
He made Tmac, AI, and Kobe look silly at times on both ends of the court.

I will always like Cat and will always root for him like I do Cassell and Horry. I hope he opts out next year, so we can somehow get him back.

God bless Cuttino Mobley and hopefully he will reach the all-star game just like Sam I am did this year.

for all the reasons you stated....I agree.

I hate hate hate hate hate to lose him when he was finally starting to get good...

Its bad enough we have to lose the guy with the most desire and heart...but to bring in TM...I understand.....but to lose TWO guys with that desire and heart just kills me.

but....you do what you gotta do.....good luck Cuttino....I know you will do well in the future.

he is one half of one of the best tandems in the league, and we are throwing the whole tandem away for an all-star who hasnt done jack.

you can guarantee he will be missed by this poster

yeah I have to hand it to the Cat

He has matured greatly as a player from his rookie season to last season and did everything that was asked of him to do. I hope he finds the much deserved respect and success in orlando as he has gotten here.

He ran the pick and roll with yao really efficient from the games I saw at least. Great guy. I'll miss him too and will continue to root for him regardless of where he goes.

    Good Luck Cat

Orlando fans might think they're getting a turd in francis, but they are certainly getting a gem with Cat.

I began to like his game this year, and really respected the way he took to defense.

    BUT !!!!

    We are talking about Tmac......

Cat....nice watching you play...opt out next year and come back.

    As for now...SEE YA !!

I will miss him as well. He was a great Rocket and was heading for bigger and better. I guess he'll just have to do it in the East.

Good luck, Cat (SF & Cato, too)

Cat will be the one I miss the most in this trade. He could have just went to Toronto when he was a FA but stayed back instead. I hope the Magic trades him to Philly so he can play in his hometown.

I forgot that he could opt out of his contract next year. Hopefully his feelings aren't hurt and he'll be back next year. Afterall it's not like traded him for a roleplayer, we ARE talking about Tracy McGrady!
