Like A_3PO has said. Winning that 1st round series against Dallas might have been the worst thing that happened to the Warriors. I never thought of it that way until he said it but what should have been the uprising of the Warriors has turned into them declining every year and a lot of that has to do with Don Nelson.

He introduced things the league has never seen, a revolutionary coach...

He went a bit crazy as he got older, but he is still a legendary figure as a player and a coach...

More like hare-brained. Fewer coaches have done less with more talent

Golden St. winning the 1st round series against Dallas in the 1/8 matchup might have been the worst thing that could have possibly happened because then Golden St. committed to Don Nelson.

I think he'd be better off as a GM only, he has an eye for talent, but just can't maximize the talents he gathers up.

He is a gimmick coach. The NBA's version of Mike Leach. He can do some exciting things but nobody considers his teams a serious threat.

He is way too fascinated with small balls.

What kind of poll is that? Is it clearly defined who is better between Daley, Riley, and Wilkens? (assuming you're saying Phil is the GOAT or something)

Over my 27 years of being a NBA Fan, I have never thought that
Don Nelson was an outstanding Coach! He has just been going for so many years winning a few here and there! :p

The best team Nelson had was witht he Bucks when hr had Moncrief, Lonier, Pierce and Cummings....

Man that team was talented..... Moncrief was just unreal at times.
