http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=263360194 Well, Oden made his season debut tonight. Most early reports didn't have him coming back until January. He had 14 points on 3-4 shooting, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks in only 23 minutes against Valpo. The most eye opening stat was that he got 15 foul shots, but he only made 8 of them. That means he could have had 22 points on only 4 fg attempts. It looks like he's being really agressive.
He was shooting his free throws left handed because he plays with some type of cast on his right hand. I'd say 8 out of 15 isn't bad with your off hand.
Valpo was intentionally fouling him because of the fact that he was shooting free-throws with his offhand.
the kid is downright scary. and for there to be a chance that the bulls get him is insane. wallace + oden? that paint is secure.
I never listened to much to they hype since I never saw him play. But he looked legit. Ive always liked his attitude. Couple that with his toughness, touch, and being one of the rare big men who actually plays like a big man... Exciting.
I hope he stays in school. Seems like he really likes math (I think that's his major) and wants to get his degree. Follow in Duncan's footsteps, young Oden!
hes not really 18 or whatever, that guy looks 35. but man, that guy is going to be one scary mother in the league.
I don't think we will have a shot at Greg Oden, unless he choose to stay in school for 4 years like TD. Why don't we lock this thread since it's not really Rocket related...
I know. I only say that because I'm an OSU fan...really want to see a basketball national championship...closest I've gotten to see was that run to the Final Four back in I want to say 2000...Scoonie Penn, Michael Redd....
Hey Shaq and Ben Wallace, GO can shoot better than you with his off hand. Big-ups to GO because he had to have put SOME work in to get to 50%. I wonder who spent more time practicing: GO on his left handed FT or Shaq and Ben on their regular FT.
