    Cause #whynot

We need a little fire, no pun intended, from the coach's chair... and not to only argue calls.

    I remember that era
First round exits and he got fired cause the offense couldn’t score 90
Then he got replaced by Rick Adelman

no thanks , time for some new blood

I would definitely take JVG over Ty Lue.

This is the type of thing people need to hear.

You have been through it all. You know bringing back fan favorites aren't going to come with new results. That's 1999 premium content.

Y’all know he’s smart enough to know the game has changed right ? He sees it literally court side.

I'm old enough to remember how exhausted he looked when he was coaching. I like to hear him on ESPN, I hope it stays that way. He seems much healthier and happier.

I’m shocked nobody remembered offensively challenged lineups

he’s too far the other direction from MDA.
People complain that he doesn’t play enough of the bench.

remember when our bench scored zero points in the playoffs in one game.

Clutchfans of 2021 would have a 100 plus page fire JVG thread if we score 67 points in a playoff game

think about that game. We only had four players who scored.

    four players.

Not his fan.... he is a wittier commentator.

    Good guy deep down .

He isn't made to be a coach IMO, it would half kill him. He is that intense.

Fun fact about JVG: After coaching 7 years with the Knicks, was traded to the Rockets for a 2nd-round pick later used to pick a guy named after a type of mustard (Dijon Thompson).

Also, got to the ECF only once despite having a solid roster. Never even got to the WCF with Houston, despite Frnecis, Mobley, Yao, McGrady, Battier, etc. So no, HARD pass on bringing him back.

Great guy, though. Excellent commentator. But no as our HC. No, no, no. Fool me once, etc.

Yep. I remember him frantically waving his arms on the sideline, imploring his team to pick up the pace. In interviews, he'd say, "I want the team to play faster. I tell them all the time we have to play faster." So his players didn't listen to him?

Again, pass. I'd rather see him call our games than coach them.
