You might like Medieval II: Total War. It's a mix of turn based strategy during troop movement phase and RTS for actual battles.

So, apparently this game is now ready to play.

And it is a great parody of JRPGs. I might have to download it.

Yeah, I played it shortly after I posted this, although I haven't had much time to get really far into it (maybe less than an hour in?). It is much better than I expected, especially the battle system. My only complaint so far is that they seemed to reuse a lot of the default character models in RPG Maker, although those that haven't played any RPG Maker games (or haven't used the program) probably won't notice.

im a big fan of medieval:total war (1 and 2). 2 was great but my computer was push to lthe limit in the big battles and being zoomed up for detailed combat. Regardless, it was fun while it laster (my old graphics card burnt out). The elephants rocked!

I was going to create a new thread, but this one mentions that the game was released. I'm surprised more people haven't been interested in it, so I'm BUMPING the hell out of this thread. Seriously.

I saw a thread about the trailer but not about the game. Well, the game is OUT, and it's GREAT (if you like RPGs).

Go here for screens, downloads, and other game information.

DOWNLOAD IT. It's free, and it's possibly the funniest game I've ever played.

lol, the second they mentioned that basketball had lost sight of what it was all about, slams and jams, I fell in love with this game.

Or possibly then my friend mentioned it took place in 2053. I said, "Uhh, how is Charles Barkley still running around and fighting like that?" He said, "Because Charles Barkley is immortal."

Man, I don't know. All I have to say is this:
REWRITE THE POEM. Seriously. I just got to that part. There's a poem, and you NEED to rewrite it.

So while I'm thinking about it, what team do you associate with Charles Barkley? Despite the fact that he was a GREAT Rocket, I STILL associate him with the Suns.

It is referring to Charles Barkley. And I would associate him with the Suns first, then the Sixers, and lastly with the Rockets.

    I agree.

P.S. If you haven't downloaded this game yet, you are missing out. I just visited the tomb of Mutombo and got Dikembe's Holy Dunk power. Now I have to visit the old Spalding Factory to get the proto-B-Ball. :D
