Sometime ago while browsing The Rock/Wrestlemania I saw a few posts alluding to how the WWE and its storyline's were actually improving. I hadn't watched for a while as I like so many, grew tired of Cena. so tonight I flipped on. And what did I see?

Simply put, the WWE is literally following the movie industry and doing a Hollywood-style remake of the "Attitude Era," ....complete with Triple H casted as Vince and CM Punk as the rebellious, defiant Stone Cold Steve Austin. The skit with Nash, Trips, and Punk basically reminded me of the clashes Vince had with Stone Cold. Then you have high-flying Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston winning the tag team belts ....maybe they become a remake of The Hardy Boyz. Heck, we even had The Miz and R-Truth and .....WHAT?!? Heck they kinda remind me of Bubba Ray & Devon with all this conspiracy talk.

And to top my night .....fans throwing Cena's t-shirt BACK at him. Totally awesome stuff. What a Monday Night!

And so, I feel compelled to make this thread, an all everything WWE thread. Cause guess what?!? That WWE "Attitude" is BACK!

I think this is one of those threads that falls beneath the Mensa cutoff.

For a few years, it went down the ****ter, through the pipes, all the way to the septic tank known as Vince McMahon's brain. (or maybe that of his former writing staff)

BTW - next Tuesday at 7pm, a live edition of Super Smackdown ....basically both rosters combining for one big ass live show, like Raw of the "Attitude" era.

Let's see if WWE can keep this rolling...

Seems to me like the Executive of Talent Relations may be the one who texted Kevin Nash. I love this feud with CM Punk they're having.

Agreed. Laurinaitis definitely is behind the text and it showed tonight with him getting Trips to leave to go to the hospital for this "supposed" accident, only to have Nash come out of no where to help Cena win.

And that's where I think this is all heading to ....giving the people what they want.

Cena will regain the WWE title again next week at Night of Champions ...but this time as a heel.

See I would hate Cena to be champion again but I don't think I would mind him so much if he did it as a heel. At first I thought maybe Stephanie was behind all this controversy but after tonight no doubt it has to be Laurinaitis. I'm kind of hoping HHH lets Steph take over for a while so he can return as a performer to team up with Nash against Punk. I'm more excited for Survivor Series to see The Rock come back and see where they go with that.

They've had chance after chance to turn Cena and haven't...I give up on that ship. Cena and Del Rio will probably go at for a while and lead to Cena regaining the title but not until SSeries or the Rumble.

The HHH/Nash/Punk feud is leading for a Punk/HHH WM match...all the elements are there.

Punk's mic work has been awesome and kudos to the WWE for letting him say some of the things that he has come out with.

See, what Im thinking is Cena turning heel will be due in part to him "selling out" by getting corporate help (Lauranitis) to help him steal back the title from the obvious fan favorite, CM Punk.

And again, that's another Attitude Era remake storyline. WWE did this at the Astrodome for Wrestlemania X7, when Stone Cold "sold out" to Vince to beat the Rock for the title.

And this is where The Rock steps in at Survivor Series, making this a face vs. heel match at Wrestlemania.

Everyone's been waiting for Cena to turn heel for a long time now, won't happen anytime soon imo, he's a cash crop. The only way he does turn heel is if little kids turn on him or there's someone else whos as marketable to 8 yr olds as Cena. They've had so many chances to turn him heel, WWE just doesn't want to.

BTW, is it true WWE turned PG and don't allow blood or headshots? Haven't watched in a while and am trying to get caught up. Also, what happened to JBL? He was one of the best heels I've ever seen.

Sting was one of my favorites too. One of the best moments in wrestling imo was...

Miz and R-Truth had an AWEEESOMEEE promo tonight. These guys are golden on the mic and draw so much heat from the crowd. Based on the storyline, I see it leading for them to form a tag team and face Bourne/Kingston. It should lead to some entertaining matches, but its still under utilizing a guy like the Miz. Get this guy back in the main event or move him to Smackdown. Heel R-Truth = cracks me up!!!

JBL retired. The current champion, Alberto Del Rio, pretty much has his same gimmick... except he's Mexican.

I agree here. The Miz and R-Truth are perfect as heels and cut a great promo together tonight.

I myself also see this leading to a Bourne/Kingston vs. Miz/R-Truth storyline fued, which to me, would also be another Attitude Era remake. Think Hardy Boyz vs. Edge & Christian.
