    http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/09/20/inv.investigation.terrorism/

"CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) -- A man linked to an associate of Osama bin Laden and wanted in connection with the investigation into last week's terrorist attacks was arrested by federal agents, the FBI confirmed Thursday morning.......
......Al-Marabh had a commercial driver's license issued by the state of Michigan, according to the Michigan Secretary of State's office said. That license, issued Sept. 11, 2000, allowed Al-Marabh to operate vehicles weighing 10,000 .....
........Additionally, Al-Marabh obtained what is called an "endorsement" the same day which allowed him to transport hazardous materials. The official said he took a test and paid a fee to obtain that endorsement."

These sacks of crap are going to drive a truck full of something into a populated area and kill more than 5000 people. I hope to god the FBI is securing the trucking industry as much as they are the airline industry. Hi-jacking a plane is hard. How hard is it to rent a truck and drive it somewhere?

We are MUCH MUCH more susceptible to an attack via a vehicle than of any other form. What do we do if they pull off 20 of these attacks in EVERY major US city in one day? There is no FAA, you can’t just shut the roads down and stop the transporting of goods. Trucking is much more vital to our economy than the airlines.

I hope they are checking EVERY Truck driving school in the nation and combing over all the CDL’s that have been issued to over the last several years.

Firestations were warned to protect their fire engines a couple of days ago. I guess the water tank would be filled with something else?

They should temporarily stop issuing these types of licenses and permits to get a handle on things. These terrorists are f'ing crazy and who knows what they will unleash on the American population.

Allegedly, 9/22 Saturday, is the day where a bunch of stuff was supposed to go down. I wonder if it was a decoy.

Survivalist gear is up 300%. Gun sales were initially up about 600% right after the attacks.

    from the CNN link above,
In another development, The Los Angeles Times quoted an unnamed law enforcement official in Thursday's editions as saying FBI and CIA officials were advised in August that as many as 200 Islamists with terrorist leanings were slipping into this country and planning "a major assault on the United States."

The advisory, passed on by the Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency, cautioned that it had picked up indications of a "large-scale target" in the United States and that Americans would be "very vulnerable," the official said. The paper said it is not known how U.S. authorities reacted to the warning.

The CIA denied that Thursday. "That is utter nonsense," said spokesman Bill Harlow.

They better take all threats and tips as f'ing serious! "utter nonsense"?? ... whatever...

I dont know if this has been said yet but one of the guys arrested in Texas (I think he was a doctor) had a plane ticket on a US Airways flight on the 22nd. US Airways has canceled the flight he was scheduled on.

I think his reference to "utter nonsense" was related to whether or not the CIA received these tips.
