How is it going, are there any polls showing whether the deal will pass or not? ------------------ I'm not the type to eat it up but the type to hit it raw dog and seed it up.
Am I the only one who liked the old "new arena" better? I really liked that big video screen on the outside of the building in the old renditions, and was really upset when it wasn't in this year's proposal. Does anyone else agree with me? ------------------ How about the Houston Comets and their quest to become "Quadrepeatchicks!"
Anyone care to do the deed?? ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, but it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and pimp-slap the mother****** upside the head!
fatty: That giant screen you mentioned was going to be scrapped anyway. It looked too much like a movie theater. This building is much more in keeping with Enron Field and the downtown area. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Jeff: That's a shame. I envisioned coming up to the new arena and seeing highlight films of the current players or maybe just the current video that begins every Rocket game in Houston. Just the idea of seeing something like that made me think of those screens in Times Square. I figured since Downtown is on this major revitalization effort, that would have been a great beginning to our Downtown having video billboards. I just liked the idea. But if it was scrapped in the original, as well, I guess it was never meant to be. Oh well, the new place looks nice enough! ------------------ How about the Houston Comets and their quest to become "Quadrepeatchicks!"
Is it going to be in Houston...God I hope so.I can only go by what those close to me are saying and they don't like Basketball or taxes. ------------------ I'm not the type to eat it up but the type to hit it raw dog and seed it up.
Hence a problem. When I spoke to my aunt Barbara (who lives in Houston; I don't), she repeated verbatim to me everything the opposition fed to Houstonians. Many people won't listen to reason. They don't care much about basketball and they think, automatically, that they'll have to unlimber their wallets or pay property taxes or whatever, and will automatically vote no. So I hope hope hope we get enough votes for the arena. A lot of people are acting like it's a done deal. I like the look of it, it's exciting, maybe seeing what it'll look like will change some minds. I hope I hope. ------------------
I heard the first pro-stadium commercial on the radio this morning so hopefully it gets the word out and it passes ------------------ I'm not the type to eat it up but the type to hit it raw dog and seed it up.
