What has gotten into this guy??? I think Les put him on Prozac or TNT got him a broadcasting coach. I mean JVG is just awesome, on his broadcasting, and on 610 am this morning....It sounded like a totally different person. PUMPED AND EXCITED!!! I hope this is the New and Improved JVG. I know Les wanted him to change his morbidly depressed attitude.
Actually he has always been this way when he is not being interviewed right after a game... I for one don't consider him so bad as a lot of people, he simply speaks the truth. And he even said this morning on the 610 interview that the players actually prefer he be honest in his comments, true athletes who are competitive don't want the candy coated version but rather prefer the truth....and sometimes the truth hurts
Unfortunately, I haven't listened to JVG on TNT, but what are you guys talking about? JVG was pretty funny before he joined the broadcast while he was on the tv broadcasts, wasn't he? I thought he's always had a somewhat funny and dry sense of humor.
Ditto. He's always had that goofy, dry, sarcastic humor, I think some people are just finding that out for whatever reason.
it's true, larry brown is a knick and possibly former knick. I think JVG is excited in any shape or form if we somehow get our hands on former knicks.
The thing is, no one here knows how he is during practice. Why does everyone assume he is such a jackass? If that's the case, why do all his players love him? I'm convinced that his post-game interview demeanor is an act. I think he just likes taking the piss out of the media in his own way, and that's how he does it.
