came dangerously within reach of postseason point futility(54 points by the jazz against the bulls 98) with 56. at the half the score was 37-25 bad boys the final 78-56 detroit. welcome back to competitive basketball new jersey!
you didn't have to use the word irked...its dead already 56 is terrible!! the Kings get 60 or so by halftime
yeah but the kings were playing the mavs not the pistons. A lot of people were saying the nets last year didnt have home court and still swept the pistons, but they forget that the nets are worse this year and the pistons are MUCH better. I wonder how ugly the potential pacers-pistons series could be since they are both defensive teams, or worse a potential spurs/pistons finals. it could be 30-25 at the end of the third! I seriously did a double take today when i got home and turn on the tv and saw that the nets had 39 pts heading into the fourth. I swear i thought it was the 2nd quarter and I was like dang they are scoring well till I looked down and saw the 4 and I still couldnt believe it
I talked to Royal Ivey about who he was going for in the playoffs and whatnot and he's going for the Nets naturally but I couldn't talk trash about them to him. I wouldn't feel right talking basketball with someone who's awesome at said sport. Still, I jocked the Rockets like an idiot.
So this is what happens when you can limit New Jersey's fast breaks and second shot opportunities? New Jersey is exposed. They have a VERY mediocre half court offense and when a team can slow them down and limit their opportunities they look terrible! Where was Kenyon Martin? Rasheed really bottled him up.
Take away NETS's fast break point and they belong to WNBA. Pistons have shown us that if they play the right defense against the Nets, it's a game between men and boys.
The title of this thread should be changed to "Fans got irked by the offensive offense of the Nets" It's irksome to miss use the word "irk"
"Irk" is so last week. Can we try something new? http://thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=irk I recommend "abrade" or "discommode."
in that case, they were definitely "inconvenienced", "miffed", "noodged","peeved and provoked" and finally... "nettled" new jersey just got nettled p.s. relax people you don't need to get so rasped and riled at my vocab
