This thread may sound stupid as hell, and far fetched, but what if the NBA was set up like a democracy? lol... Instead of just all-star voting (which we really have no say in), what if we had CBA voting in which a ballet was created for us to vote on how the NBA would be structured and ran? Hard Cap - Trades - Franchise Tag - GMs - Ownership - Luxury Tax - etc Either way it goes, it would probably all go to sh** like the system in our country, but it seems like a pretty cool idea....At least we wouldn't have to deal with everybody in America trying to play in NYC, LA, and MIAMI. I have longed to see some others teams in the Finals besides LA, BOSTON, MIAMI....etc... Democratic NBA Preamble... "All NBA Fans should have broadly equal access to the necessary means to participate meaningfully in decisions over things which affect their viewership and fanship. This includes both the freedom of individuals to make choices that affect a good David Stern ass-kicking as separate persons, and their capacity to participate in collective decisions which affect the lives of jackass owners and GMs as members of a broader community."
You mean the teams with the most fans would get the most beneficial conditions? Congratulations New York and Los Angeles!
Mann eff that, every team should be ran like its own state. New GM voting every 4 years...and anybody can run. All major team decisions must pass through the "Arena of Representatives and the team Senate" with majority rule. The GM has the power to Veto.... Flagrant fouls must be reviewed by the "supreme basketball court" If the GM eff's up, we have the power to impeach... Local voting every two years and NBA wide voting every 4 years You must be a registered voter with NBA.com.... Illegal NBA fans cannot vote... If this system were put in place, David Stern would've been gone...
It looks like he's trying to say either Dallas, San Antonio or Oklahoma City without closing his mouth. I'm not sure which.
