In no particular order. 1 . Dave Matthews Band 2. John Mayer 3. Dashboard Confessional 4. The Rolling Stones Actually, I'd say Phish is the most overrated band.
I happen to like all three of those bands (well, Creed is ok). But I happen to think Kidrock is horrible, he couldnt be more white trash if he tried to be. If you like him (Im assuming you do because thats your name) thats cool, thats your opinion, but Kid Rock can suck MY d!ck.
Kid Rock blow chunks. DMB gets props because they are all very talented musicians, but I think their music sucks too.
Who in the world are you judging these bands against? DMB and U2 suck??? Damn...who is good then??? Kid Rock?? if that's your musical taste, than i'll just say i strongly disagree.
DMB is good, not my style...but I can recognize good music when I hear it. Most over-rated is definitely STP..I just don't understand why everyone seems to love this band..all their songs sound the same..
Shouldn't the name of this thread be "Bands that you think suck"?? The Stones, overrated? It's fine if you don't like them, but they're only one of the most influential and successful Rock bands of all time, who STILL sell out 70,000 seat stadiums despite the fact that Mick Jagger and Keith Richards should have died about ten years ago! "Overrated" is simply defined as "to rate, assess, or estimate too highly". If the Rolling Stones were overrated, they would have disbanded and been forgotten a LONG time ago. The same thing for U2. I don't even like U2 that much ("Desire" is their only song I really like), but damn, they were the BIGGEST money making musical act last year! Bigger than all that factory produced, powderpuff, neo-pop bullsh*t, bigger than all of those wannabe gangsta p*****s with their 35 inch rims and 10 pounds of gold around their necks that would get thier asses kicked by most anybody. Pretty impressive for being around for over 30 years, isn't it. It's fine if you don't like a band, but to call them "overated" is showing a lack of respect to bands that have clearly deserved it... Come to think about it, The Beatles were pretty overrated also...Wait, didn't they have the highest selling album of 2001?

Most overrated band?? Blink 182. How these guys get radio play by writing really bad 80's soundtrack music is beyond me. Most overrated artist?? Ja-Rule hands down. I'm not sure how this goofy looking guy got a record deal. He must have some serious dirt on someone.
Paul McCartney's post-Beatle music (mostly because he let Linda sing) Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (the greatest Byrds cover band ever) Madonna (her music is calculated and her voice isn't much better than Linda McCartney's was)
