Did ya'll see how active he was. He was always setting screens, cutting to the basket, helping on defense. I've never seen an over 7 feet tall plaver that active except Garnett.

I like the fact that he was very unreluctant to mix it up. He will be the perfect compliment to our other players and our other new addition, Nachbar.

Did you see when he chased a rebound into the corner and beat a USA big man to the rebound?

Here's another impressive thing not mentioned yet:

    34 minutes, one foul

Didn't naysayers say he was going to be in foul trouble all year long?

And that was against a team of all-stars (well, OK Raef Lafrentz and a college kid) ...

I was amazed by his only having one foul. Maybe it was cuz Rudy wasn't there to foul him out...:D

glynch... you're spot on... that was my favorite play of the whole night. The way he got after that ball and got down and snatched it. Shawn Bradley would've snapped like the twig he is if he'd tried that.

That told me as much or more about him than any of the blocks or jumpers...

6 blocks and only 1 foul.

And the blocks are not fly swatters against small guards but against big men.

Talk about defense. I wonder how many shots he caused the American team to change.

I thought the most interesting aspect of Ming was how he swats rebounds out to guards. I don't know if it was intentional; I'm hoping it is. Although Steve and Cat may need to figure out what to do when they're actually ahead of the pack on the way down the court. Heads up boys, that there's a fast break opportunity presented by Mr. Yao.
