After the Hornets road game, Rockets have 5 game homestand. Time for streak, 5-1, I'm a little bit sceptic about Hornets game, please Rockets prove me wrong. They have games after NO: VS BULLS VS WIZARDS VS MEMPHIS VS DENVER VS INDIANA By my predictions they should be 39-21,38-22 if everything goes by plan. By the way, last season Rockets in the same time had the same record, 34-20!
They should win all of those games at home, tonight, I expect a loss, but am cheering like hades for a win. DD
If we hadn't had agame last night it would be a lot easier to say that we are going to win. If we do win tonight that would be 10 in a row on the road.
It would be nice to see the same shooting % as they had in the first period last night. Maybe Bobby J will go off for 40 tonight as I heard he will suit up for the game!!
if we win tonight then i'll admit the rockets are probably for real. if not then we're the same old rockets, and i think that'll be the case.
thats pretty much exactly what i said before that phoenix game at the end of last season. the rox won, sewed up hca for the first round, and I thought they were finally for real. so, yeah. there's only so much stock you can put in any regular season game.
Too much to ride on one game. Hornets could have a bad game, not focused, etc. Rockets could have a bad game, not focued, etc. I would rather say it over say the next 5 or 6 games against the play-off teams. Losing more and the play-off prospects look bad. Go .500 and it will be interesting. Win more than lose and play-off prospects will look good.
Anybody can beat anybody in the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Hornets and they lost to one of the other teams. It doesn't work like that. Miami has a better point differential than a lot of teams, meaning they are in a lot of close games, but they don't play well in the 4th quarter. There are other teams that get blown out on a lot of nights, but they win close games. On any given night, anybody can win, especially if your team is flat. Especially this year, the Rockets are not as focused every single night like they were last year. They are a better team this year and have a slightly higher margin for error.
new orleans really has had our number in the last 2 years. come on rockets, we need a big win tonight. and as for denver, they don't have nene and didn't make any significant upgrades since the trade deadline. we should take them out and avenge that double OT loss on national tv.
I'm sick of losing to the Hornets. Come on ROCKETS, they barely even get 14,000 fans a night in there. Hit your FT's (small crowd in NO should be an advantage), play well and come back home with 11 wins.
With that schedule, if we win tonight, we could break the record for consecutive wins. Then again, you never know with these things. Who'd thought that 93-94 team would beat the Knicks to win 15, and then lose to the Hawks...
I already mentioned this in another thread, but that Hawks team won 57 games that season(1 less than the Rockets) and it was on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
man the hornets might not make the playoffs. They started the season with one of the weakest schedules in the west. Look at the rest of the games for the year DAMN not sure when arenas is coming back but butler will be back monday from what i am reading and hearing. they really can't have a let down game with one of the weaker teams vs Houston Sat 23 @ San Antonio Mon 25 vs Washington Wed 27 vs Phoenix Fri 29 vs Utah March Opponent Time Local TV Nat TV Radio Sun 02 @ Washington Mon 03 @ New York Wed 05 vs Atlanta (bibby should be about ready by then) Fri 07 vs New Jersey Sat 08 @ Houston Wed 12 vs San Antonio Fri 14 vs LA Lakers Sun 16 @ Detroit Mon 17 vs Chicago Wed 19 vs Houston Sat 22 vs Boston Tue 25 @ Indiana(this one will be tough. could be a lost) Wed 26 @ Cleveland (another tough one) Fri 28 @ Boston Sun 30 @ Toronto April Opponent Time Local TV Nat TV Radio Tue 01 @ Orlando Wed 02 @ Miami Fri 04 vs New York Sun 06 vs Golden State Tue 08 vs Utah Wed 09 @ Minnesota Fri 11 @ LA Lakers Sat 12 @ Sacramento Tue 15 vs LA Clippers Wed 16 @ Dallas
Chris Paul is a baller, but Deron Williams really puts a hurting on him and the Hornets. Williams is just to big and strong for certain PG (ie Paul, Rafer, Parker) to keep out of the paint.
