I donated my DYNAMO season tickets, Texans', Dynamo, and Astros' Jerseys all towards a fundraiser for my cousin who suffers now from brain cancer.

I continue to give and would like to top that.

Come on, now, at least tell us what YOURS was :p. No fair you only get ours.

Building a small school in a place where scores of children sat on rocks and sewage without a blackboard and only one book for the teacher.

When I grow older, I hope to have more money so I can help the Central Asia Institute as well create my own foundation to hopefully build better schools in the US.

Education is the most important gift imo.

6 months of mission work in Guatemala - working at orphanages, painting churches, and building a school.

Every year the wife and I venture out on black friday and load up on discounted toys and then donate them to the local church. Your money goes really far and it's a bit of a battle but it's worth it. :)

Don't know. I don't keep track. I don't really care about money as long as I'm in the black.

I was working later than usual tonight and I was pretty much the last person left (except one dude). He came over to me and gave me $30 and told me to take my wife out for dinner.

He's not my boss and doesn't even work directly in my group. Before I told him no (because I was stuck on a call), he left.

Many people give to the "unfortunate" but I didn't consider myself unfortunate just for working late. lol. I wouldn't put it in the category of "most generous" but instead put this random act of kindness into the "most surprising" category.

Well, anyway I now feel that one day I will pay it forward.

Not to an unfortunate person ...but to somebody that might just be having a bad day.

I once made a mix cd of chillwave artists like Washed Out, Toro y Moi, Neon Indian, Twin Shadow and Memory Tapes and gave it to an inner city youth.

Christmas Eve, some teenagers were at a convenience store and had taken a lot of stuff to the counter, but they didn't have enough money to pay for it so I just took care of it. Not because I felt sorry for them, or they looked poor, but because it was 11:00 pm on Christmas Eve in Omaha, so nothing else was open.

I gave like a buck to a homeless man, but can you imagine the butterfly effect it had on the other side of the globe? Just amazing... I caused Mubarak to resign.

I gave a bum a dollar once as well.

However, I only gave it to get a coworker moving (he would have spent 30 minutes apologizing to the bum for his not having a dollar... and likely then would have gone and found an ATM and then gone and gotten change so he could give the bum something).

When I got home I expensed it as a porter's tip.
