The more the rest takes, the worse the offense runs

Does anyone remember the road game of ROX against Worriers? Yesterday night's game against Lakers was just a copy of that one.

In both games, CAT was only hero of ROX at the offense end. YAO was off and SF3 was soft.

I couldn't understand that ROX would play bad games after they took a long break. Does JVG not run offense practice during the break? I hope that ROX would play more back-to-back games.

It is the first time for me to observe the fact that SF3 sliped for so many times all the game.

Also it seems to me that CATO helped YAO a lot at the defensive end, even though CATO almost contributed zero at the offensive end.

How about Oakley? Come on! Is he a NBA player? I don't know. If I am right, the game of yesterday night is the last one where Oakley played for ROX on the court.

Check it out dawg, there were a couple of things wrong here. First, Steve didn't play soft, he played the way most of you want him to (ie he didn't look to score). Cat played real well, but most of those points came in the first and many of those were on layups. Second, back to backs are a nightmare for this team. With Steve and Cat playing 40+ mins a game and Yao having NO conditioning I just thank God we had LA then Denver rather than vice versa. Third, what's up with hatin on Oak? Do you realize he's almost 40? That he probably hasn't had more than 5 practices with the team? I hate the man, but he WAS a really good player and is still better than anybody else we have at playing man defense on bigs. On the plus side, you did get one thing right, Yao sucked last night.

YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK, GOODBYE!

Weird. According to the stats he plays his best on 1 day rest. Which could be a good sign because after the first round of the playoffs, most of the games will be off of 1 day rest (the exception being the first game of the series).

I made the same observation last season. I attributed it to youth. Young players don't need rest. They need rhythm. Hence the poor play after long layoffs. This year, however, we are much older. Well, at least we know when Yao plays poorly (offensively, at least), it isn't because he's tired. I guess Yao probably has rhythm problem too after long rest.

We are 11-5 in "red eye" games (second game of back-to-back with traveling). Weird! Hopefully, it will be 12-5 after tonight's red eye game at Denver.

What you say is very true, JVG said exactly the same thing. Yao should have a monster game tonight.
