    Despite being an advocate of "correlation does not equal causation" myself, let's pretend it does for now and stop Cage from making any more movies.

    Not really. Correlation can be a valid and interesting signpost when there's also a strong scientific basis, tested in laboratories, suggesting two things should be strongly correlated.

    But it is of course fun to pretend that scientists make completely random correlated variables the basis of scientific studies. Onward!
