    I think the statistic for people who got tangled in their bedsheets should have been done on a per capita basis.

    Not really. Correlation can be a valid and interesting signpost when there's also a strong scientific basis, tested in laboratories, suggesting two things should be strongly correlated.

    But it is of course fun to pretend that scientists make completely random correlated variables the basis of scientific studies. Onward!
