What do you guys think about Moochie Norris? Good or bad player? Someone we want to keep around? He has become a fan's image for sure, but what do you think of his on the court action. A magazine ran an article on him a few mos. talking about all the hardship he faced before he got to the NBA.. does anyone know the details of the article? Thanks!

Of the limited Rocket action I've seen, it seems to me Moochie is more detremental than helpful. Like last year - the ball doesn't escape his hands until 5 seconds are left on the shot clock.

I'm not a Moochie Norris fan.

In fact, for those who suggested trading him for some other point guard, I've generally supported that idea.

I am a Yao Ming fan. And I've noticed that Norris and Yao seem to work well together when they're on the court. Norris seems to notice Yao more than Francis.

While Norris has a huge contract anyway, meaning it looks like he'll be around for a while, could Rudy Tomjanovich start Norris over Mobley? I'm not saying Norris is better than Mobley. That's another topic.

    ------------
And I'd like Rudy T also to follow Red Chocolate's advise to start James Posey over Glen Rice.

He can dribble circles around the competition - and he often does!

Moochie is a much better backup point gaurd than a lot of other PG's in da league. I'll even throw in an example: Chris Whitney or Moochie Norris??

we should make Mooch participate in the halftime and pre game entertainment. he can put on a dribbling exhibition and get it out of his system.

I hate the dribbling as much as the next guy... but I still have a better feeling about Mooch taking a last second shot than I do for most other guys on the team... he can be really clutch. And for a pg, he does go to the basket pretty hard... I've lost count of the times where I've seen him get a hard foul, make the basket, and get to the free-throw line (... but then, there is that whole thing of missing the free throw...)

For some weird reason, Moochie seems to shoot well when Steve passes to him

mooch who's come off the terrible season start, is doing better in these recent games. the FT% is still horrible, but he is doing better job on distributing and handle the ball, at least the turnover # decreased.

i have no hope that mooch will become a great backup pg like bobby jackson, but i still think he is a pretty good average player, he just need put in more effort.

MOOCHIE NORRIS is an OK player. He is not as good as Bobby Jackson. But Moochie has a great personality and his hair is great. He and Steve and Moochie are good friends and Mooch plays well with Yao. They play fun basketball. Moochie was the main supporter of Yao. Moochie is very involved with the community. He goes to many conferences and other things around Houston. But Moochie will never be a starter. He was cut by many teams before ending up in Houston. We were nice enough to sign him. I think he is good at distributing the ball but sometimes takes too long. He just stands there while the shot clock goes down. But he is great at making clutch shots. He always makes them. And sometimes, if he really has to, he has gone in and made layups. I think he is an OK player and a good person. The only good thing is he looks to pass before shooting. He is really emotional on the court and on the bench. So is Posey...

Mooch is a very poor defender. The other day I went to the
Clippers' game. Mooch was torched by Andre Miller. On offensive
end, he tends to dribble and hold the ball too long. But compared with Steve and Mobley, he did look for pass first instead of looking for his own shots all the time. That might be the reason
Rudy likes to have three guard-lineup with Mooch handling the ball, which sometime cut down the Js from Steve and Cat.

Moochie is a typical RudyT role player who does'nt mind playing second string and comes through in the clutch. His salary was pretty much determined by what other teams would have paid him at the time.
I like Moochie as a back-up, hes one of the better ones in the league..anyone better exzpects to start.

Moochie is responsable for causing me to say the F-word more than I've ever said it in my life.
