As you might have noticed, the BBS is nearing 1,000,000 posts. Yeah, that's quite a few. Currently, there are around 932,000 or so posts, and it appears that 10,000 posts are being added every ~2 weeks. That places the millionth post in the not-so-distant future. So, I propose a contest. Each entry costs $1 to the tipjar (I believe www.clutchcity.net/tipjar.cfm, but someone can check me on that), though tipping more is likely encouraged and appreciated. You're on the honor system here, though. The contest itself? Guess the day (using central time) of the millionth post. The closest person, with or without going over, wins, and there will be co-winners in the case of a tie. The winner(s) gets bragging rights...but that's all. It's just in fun. So, who wants to place the first guess? I would, opennig the thread and all, but I don't have access to the tipjar right now. (note to Clutch & admins: if this is unacceptible, please feel free to lock the thread. I hope that it will bring in donations to the tipjar, however.)
Neat idea I'm gonna say September 12 . . . a bit early, but it's Yao Ming's birthday (mine as well), so it makes a bit of sense.

How about the person that gets the 1,000,000th post (I assume only admins would have access to this data) should get the amount of money in the tipjar. Yeah, that works. -or- Admin abilities so people like Jeff can be banned for no apparent reason -or- Some autographed memorabilia from the likes of Jason Collier (or someone with slightly more skill and prominence). Oh, and September 9th. Hey, but isn't the listed number of posts a little off? Like, isn't it not updated up to the second???
